Slavery has a larger place in AA history because that’s a huge part of what shape the African American experience in US. Hence why the mingling of Africans with diaspora means business exchange as well as historical exchange. Most African Americans have no Somali ancestry, their ancestry is mainly west/ central/ slight variance of North African. Why would you go to Somalia expecting them to give you citizenship when they have launched no such a program.
I was strictly speaking of countries who do want to repatriate African diasporans.
