The Power Circle
i only f*cked with the songs he did with Q.
Funny you say that b/c everytime he had a feature he got toasted and always had the worst verse. He's the epitome of mediocre.Nobody is complaining because he didn't have some huge co sign. This nikka had one song out and was getting praised as the second coming of christ in 2 days. I saw how Chief Keef bubbled. I saw how Shmurda bubbled. Hell I even saw how Drake bubbled. This dude came out of no where without any real organic movement outside none industry blogs. Hes a plant and it was obvious. I tell you what tho. When that Goldie shyt flopped, he sure as hell got the biggest co signs ever for fukking problems
Not backing down at all but you not gonna find one exact album that sounds like that tape b/c Houston aint the only place he jacking shyt from like I said in the beginning, but you can hear the influence from the 200+ Screw tapes and albums already established. The closest albums I'll say is Big Moe-City Of Syrup, DJ-Screw-3 In The Morning, and it KeKe-Dont Mess With Texas. Like I said we're just gonna agree to disagree. I have no hate towards the guy I think he ok at best he just seems to have already burned himself out. I actually forgot about his most recent album. You're backing down already?
Such copout language. You say some ridiculous shyt, I ask for receipts, then you say "well you won't like receipts anyway" Why wouldn't I? I'm the one that asked for them.
nikkas say "he jacked Houston wholesale" and every time I ask for examples, nikkas go mute. I wonder why that is
I agree that y'all birthed the shyt. But if all you see in Live.Love.ASAP is lean slowed down sound, then you didn't understand the tape. real talk. While I respect Houston's contribution to the sound of Live.Love.ASAP, and it's a great one, there's way more to the tape than Houston.
Breh you were not with the wave, when Rocky released Live love that was pretty much perfect start to finish. That sound was so refreshing and his only trajectory seemed to be up from there.
Like he had absolutely MASSIVE potential but for some reason he really dumbed down his sound. I didnt even fukk with LVL like that for a long time because it felt like both clams and asap were not giving us the same shyt they were on Live love. Long Live was a solid follow up but nowhere near Live Love. fukkin Problems was a wack single and he hopped on more industry friendly beats.
If Rocky followed up with some heavy hitting Clams beats and brought the lyrical game up it would have been over
To imagine what could have been
ASAP still better than Kendrick.
puffy has produced and has been featured on countless classic songs and albums, rocky dosent have a classic anything in his catalogue. It took people a decade to realize Puffy was trash and some still aren't convinced.
No.... that's not how it happened. Rocky's path is VERY different from Keef and Shmurda. Keef had Kanye's cosign. Shmurda had Jay-Z/Beys cosign and a gang of others. Their songs were being played in clubs.
Nobody was bumping Purple Swag in clubs. Peso here and there, but that was mostly AFTER Live.Love.ASAP had already dropped.
Besides, Keef and Shmurda are afterthoughts. You're still talking about Rocky 4 years later. And face it - he'll always be remembered for Live.Love.ASAP. He's done the one thing few rappers ever do - have a classic album.
it was highly organic in the sense that the people who wrote about Rocky really fukked with his music. Dude was a total nobody on the internet with great music.
Rocky's come up is the "Internet music democracy" we all say should happen and rarely does.
but Kendrick and J Cole arent? The guys you never knew existed till Dre and Jay-Z told you about them?
Here you are worried about Rocky being a plant while probably bumping two of the most cosign-dependent rappers of all time.
Yea I agree with this. Puff cant rap and has said numerous times he isnt a rapper but he was responsible for bonified, undeniable, classics.puffy has produced and has been featured on countless classic songs and albums, rocky dosent have a classic anything in his catalogue.
What's he really do?can't blame A$AP for why Clams isn't interested in producing that much. Doing beats is a side hustle for him.
you must be under 21.1* first mixtape one of the 5 best mixtapes of all time easily. LLA the album was dope, ALLA was dope af too and had some classic tracks
Read a while back he was in school trying to be a physical therapist and that the only reason why he has a decent sized output of music was so he could pay for school and that he turns down most offers he getsWhat's he really do?
