Proves what I've always thought: No one thought Kendrick was that special till Dre jumped on. Yet somehow Kendrick can compare to ASAP Rocky, a guy lots of people thought was special right out the gate with no cosigns/features? if you mean a well put together package of music, visuals and style who made a classic project the first go round (or as close as you get can get these days), a pretty good if unbalanced debut album and and a sophomore album that even though its a little long borders on great then he should continue to make that vapid trash.



even though it kicked the doors open for him, music is only a small part of what he is involved in and he doesn't even run in hip-hop circles like that.

Rocky might put his mouth in it in with comments he makes but his music is kept strictly with what he's interested in, nice things and woman.
i'd rather that than say....J Cole who for all the good he does off the mic, is supposed to be deep but his music is bland about as deep as a puddle.

its going to be interesting to see how he goes about music post Yams.
songs like L$D is way more of what he would have preferred to do from the jump.
