When home sizzle first came on the scene we was all :ohhh:

Swag- check :leon:

Street Background/hometown - Harlem :leon:

Flow - On point :leon:

Crew? - Them ASAP dudes look like some cool young nikkas - :leon:

But as time went on, we slowly started to realize..."ayo, wtf this nikka even rapping bout":dwillhuh: ,

"wassup with all this fashionista bullshyt?" :dwillhuh:

"Why homie sound so empty in them interviews" :dwillhuh:

"is this nikka wearing a dress" :dwillhuh:

And now, even though he has gotten little bit better as artist, we have all seen through the gimmick, the extravagant beats, the flash and lights n fancy effects. The music is aight, but its empty as fukk.

To a degree same thing happened to this guy too

giphy.gif

He looked like a dirty homolicious koon from Day One to me

Exactly :mjlol:

This clown stay exposing his lack of hip hop knowledge. Tellin on himself thinking people only heard of people through co signs because thats how he heard of them :dead: Almost everybody knew kendrick when he was called k. Dot,back when jay rock was bubbling and signed to warner. K.dot been out here grinding for years and years and this clown hadnt even heard of him until dre cosigned him :mjlol:

Asap had the most unnatural rise ive ever seen. Literally out of nowhere. Definition of industry plant.

And his music is vapid nonsense that you forget 5 minutes after you listen to it. And he had to run to drake,2chainz and kendrick for a single cuz his shyt flopped.

The yams dude was a some kind of dipset intern and a known music blogger with connects. He was able to mold asap and create the buzz for him when he only had two songs out. He even said in an interview rocky was some wack ass cudi wannabee and he told him to get on that Texas shyt. It's all true because his very first song(with ferg, who's dad was a fashion designer for people like puffy, another industry connect there) was trash and an utter flop. But the purple song dropped and the next week it's getting played on hot 97. And blogs are talking about him when dude barely has any fans. But this guy @SirBiatch think we should be proud of plants like that.

NYC
which only a tiny group of people/nobody were checking for.

Keef had the whole city of Chicago checking for him :stopitslime:

Edit: you can say whatever you want about Keef, but at the end of the day him & Louie are credited with pioneering the whole drill subgenre and bringing it to the masses. He's responsible for a whole new movement. A$AP is responsible for taking bits and pieces of various movements that have already been established and trying to pass it off as his own

The fact of the matter is that the cosigns took Shmurda WAY outta there. Hot nikka had like no views and had been sitting on Youtube for months doing nothing until blogs started talking about it. Clearly the music didn't speak for itself till the hype started.

What a fukking delusional idiot you are :heh:

Hot Nikka got its buzz from going viral on vine. The shmoney dance was already a world wide phenom before Jay and Bey cosigned Bobby. In fact the Jay/Bey cosign came via Beyonce doin the Shmoney dance on stage and Jay giving a subtle shout out by changing his lyrics to "come shmoney dance with the goodfellas".. if no one knew who Bobby was they would of thought nothing of it; Beyonce would have just been doing another dance routine and Jay would have just mispronounced one of his lyrics, but everyone knew so they immediately recognized the lowkey shout outs.

Kendrick was not buzzing. Stop it. He was just another rapper in a sea of mediocrity. He barely got any coverage till Dre stepped in.

Overly Dedicated was posted on every and any Hip hop blog that mattered. Again, what a fukking idiot :heh:

You have no point because Rocky barely had music out prior to Live.Love.ASAP. He had 6 songs. 5 of them were shyt. One was very interesting. and that was Purple Swag. so people wrote about it. And behind the scenes, him and Yams were creating a mixtape that was already flooring people in the know.

It's not rocket science.

The fact that Rocky was a nobody is something you should champion

Rocky "was a nobody" who "barely had music out prior to Live.Love.ASAP" but still "people in the know" aka influential bloggers were checking for him behind the scenes? :heh: gtfoh. Why would "people in the know" Even be giving someone who barely has any music a chance to "floor" them especially if 5 out of 6 of the songs they barely have out are trash? (even according to someone like you; Rocky's #1 dikk shaker :heh:). That just further proves that he is a plant case closed

Post is utter nonsense yet you won't elaborate. Instead you'll repeat the exact same thing you said in your last post and run :mjlol:

It's aight breh. Thinking is tough for you.

Breh I'm not going to keep going back and forth with you posting these titangraphs. Your post on keef and Kendrick is complete bullshyt that anyone can shot down. And I just tagged you in my other post that I know you are reading so there

blah blah blah jealousy.

Yams was clearly a genius compared to most of you mentally-stuck hip hop wannabees. Dude breathed hip hop.

Like I said, you're a follower. Followers are concerned with 'movements', 'who cosigned what' and 'who featured where'. I could care less. I just wanna hear great, inspiring music.

Purple Swag and Wassup were brilliant, left-field songs that came outta nowhere. Blog praise was well deserved.

I'll take that over some mediocre act that's been rapping for 8 years, flooding the market with basura, and then finally some exec pushes the button because his image and industry relationships are 'right place, right time.'

Like I said before, most of you haters are mad that Rocky leapfrogged over you and whatever garbage underground act you stan and thought 'had next'. With the swiftness

I still like him. He might not be as great as some pretend to be, but his mixtape and 2 albums were good to me. It's just good music to chill too

who cares? Drill will die off (if it's not dead already) and nothing lasting/sustainable came out of it.

Rocky has Live.Love.ASAP. That shyt's gonna last a long fukking time.

You're supposed to take bits and pieces of random things and make them mean something as a whole. That's what you call "genius". To take things that don't normally go together and make them seamless.

What a fukking delusional idiot you are :heh:

Receipts? These links gotta be up somewhere.

jealousy of "why did he get a chance and I/my fav underground rap group didn't" aside, it's all about music for true fans.

One brilliant song can get you writing all sorts of shyt about someone where 20 mediocre songs would have you :russell:

Again, not that hard. Some bloggers were fans of Clams Casino, and when "Wassup" leaked, they went ape-shyt. That's the story it seems.

Its not about following or only getting behind people because of some movement, cosign, etc. Half the examples I listed I don't even like. The point is WE SAW HOW THEY CAME UP!!! We saw the day one fans posting about them on forums saying check for this. We saw the home made youtube videos. We saw the mixtapes drop, each one getting bigger and garnering more attention. ASAP had one song(not 5 or 6) One song and it was getting played on the radio the next week with no underground support. And we know a station like Hot97 is a corporate owned conglomerate that only rotates the same approved 5-6 songs. So its not rocket science to see what happened there. Any other artist you would be railing against. But its ASAP so its well deserved. FOH with that hypocrisy

dikkrider shyt.

You say it aint about getting behind a movement then proceed to post everything about what it's like to witness a "movement" :mjlol:

WHO GIVES A fukk!? If the music is great, that's all that matters. But that's the problem, aint it? Most of you can't tell what great music sounds like because you're focusing your attention on who cosigned what, who got next, who featured where and who's gonna save what.

"Then, actually, believe half of what you see
None of what you hear, even if it's spat by me"

Yea you can't even argue the gist of my point, hence this quality of music goal post you moved unto. Nobody is even debating that. :snoop:

Don't tell me you're getting confused over simple debate.

The whole premise of your 'point' has been: "We never saw how Rocky came up. Where was Rocky's cosigns and movement?"

I've been trying to tell you that shyt doesn't matter (and how focusing on that has been killing this genre) but you keep clinging to it. Then you say I'm shifting goal posts. :what:
