Word. Despite how crazy Biatch is, he got a point.

OD dropped in 2010. And in 2010 nobody was checking for a Kendrick Lamar. It was all about Wiz Khalifa Kush and OJ, Cole's FNL , and Kanye and nem.

The blog love followed in late 2010 into 2011 after the Dre cosign. Kendrick Lamar was Anderson Paaak status in 2010. :manny:

Kendrick Lamar - Kendrick Lamar (FreEP)

then click kendrick lamar and go back as far as you want if its annoying you that much.

:mjlol: at posting download links.

Homie, I'm talking about glowing reviews. Didn't you read my OP? It's super clear.

the J Cole and Drake co-signs are what really kicked the door in for him.
especially the Cole doing the beat for him.

in addition to the Dre thing, you're absolutely right.

almost a year after OD and has nothing to do with OD. It's Sec80

Sound sound sound
breh...I just did the research for them...that shyt was pretty irrelevant

vibe/datpiff did a top 30 of 2010 mixtape lists...Kendrick was at like 27.. some of the things ahead of him was a Cassidy mixtape, and a trey songz mixtape :mjlol:

the "blogged" tapes that year that got attention seemed to be wale "more about nothing", mac miller "kids", j cole "Friday night lights", big krit "krit wuz here", a fab mixtape, some rozay ones...and the overall consensus was kush & oj was best of the year...

Kendrick was competing with this mixtape...something I never even knew existed

Flow is the hardest skill to master as a rapper. How can you not be impressed by that? :what:

Rocky has the best flow of any new dude in the last 10 years. And it's not even close. I can't think of a new dude that came out after 2005 that actually had great, confident flow over an entire project. Since Ye it's been one bland, self-conscious nasally-sounding rapper after another.

Somehow I don't think it's hitting some of y'all that Rocky's flow on Live.Love.ASAP was godly at times. Then again, most of the Coli are introverted squares who'd rather listen to Duckworth and J Snore.

rocky does not have a good flow.
he has okay mic presence.

Not sure whether to take your opinion seriously. :jbhmm:

You like Ferg, who is the watered down, more generic and less charismatic version of Rocky.

I tend to put mic presence into flow. Flow is your cadence and how you ride the beat. it's that simple. I don't get into internal rhymes, multis and all that junk.

A$AP beats have been on point since Live.Long but his verses are boring. He also always sounds like he's trying too hard like a teenager from bel air trying to get love in the hood.

Who is A$AP?? I can't tell you because all he raps about is fashion, getting high and what your girl did to him in the back of the mack strapped with the flick flack blah blah blah

He needs to tone down the persona and tell some truth over those ill ass beats for us to give a shyt.

Exactly. I legit know nothing about dude. He has to spice up his subject matter to break his glass ceiling.

I did enjoy his last project though, don't really get the hate.
