(1) To have big sales, you have to show consistency, and thus, sales are an indication of whether or not the consumers are wiling to pay for your product...

(2) Received accolades from peers is a better way of judging if an artist is worth his/her salt than listening to what an individual fan has to say....

Eminem, Jay Z and 2Pac have the sales and praise from their peers, and therefore they are MORE deserving of the Top 3 spots in Hip Hop than ANY other rapper that has ever held the MIC....

You can't make a REASONABLE and OBJECTIVE case for another rapper to be better than Eminem, Jay Z or 2Pac...

Also, Nelly, Biggie, MC Hammer, DMX, 50 Cent, Ludacris are ALL MORE deserving Top 4 or 5 than GFK...

If we are being OBJECTIVE....That's the key word...

So it's all opinion I guess. But I'm not mad at anyone putting Ghost in their top 5 cause at least he is a credible respectable great MC with classic work under his belt. But there's so many greats the competition is stiff. Those were just a few names off the top but didn't even mention people like LL Cool J etc.

I wonder how people would vote between someone like LL and Ghostface? Like who ranks higher to them? Maybe should find out lol.

I'm a huge Wu fan though and of Ghost. So much respect to Ghost, good choice anywhere on a list really.

(1) Album sales is NOT an opinion though...It is a number that can be QUANTIFIED...It is NOT my opinion that Eminem, Jay Z and 2Pac have sold 30+Millions of albums...It is a FACT more than that it is the TRUTH...Regardless of my personal feelings and emotions...

(2) Since album sales is an OBJECTIVE criterion, give me a LOGICAL rationale to why it should be ignored when deciding GOAT status...?

MC Hammer did MORE for hip hop than Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick and other 80's rappers...I was a kid in South Africa and I knew about Mc Hammer and no damn Rakim...Rakim was local compared to Mc Hammer...

So please explain to me why is it unreasonable to consider Album Sales as a criterion for deciding who is deserving of GOAT status...?

GFK is NOT even Top 10...Let alone Top 5...Put your emotions aside, and give me an OBJECTIVE criteria to compare Nelly vs GFK...Nelly has better songs than GFK, his album sales PROVE this...I am NOT making this up and it is not based on my emotions...

The VAST majority of people listening to hip hop have bought MORE Nelly songs than GFK songs...So, if we are going to go with a GENERAL opinion, how exactly is GFK better than Nelly when Nelly has been far more successful at what he does than GFK has been with his...?
