You nikkas talk about rap as if it were once this happy clappy church music just exposing yourselves

Yall really weren't listening to Rap in the 90s

Did u even read the OP? Did u see where i stated "this is how black music sounded BEFORE it was INTENTIONALLY manipulated"? Starting in the early 90s was when they saw how powerful and influential rap was. They saw the potential to influence millions upon millions by using it. Could a Fight the Power exist today? You and i both know the answer

Breh, nobody is gonna stop listenin to da shyt just because you make threads about it.

A large percentage of da folks listenin to dat music are doin it because da beat is bangin and/or dey can dance/vibe to it. Dis aint da 1990s.:aicmon:

You gon make threads about all da movies, video games, and TV shows dat depict urban violence too? :francis:
specifically ya last statement, to be fair to the OP. You and I both know our youth are more affected by rap than any other form of entertainment.

Rappers are the youths leaders.

It just gets to the point where we have to say do we really wanna start regulating what can and can't be rapped about. Slippery slope.

Well, good luck on your quest but I've got a strong inklin it's gon be futile. :francis:

Dat's why it's da parents job to instill critical thinkin and common sense into their chirren at an early age. And to keep nurturing those habits of thought as dey get older.

Can't continue to blame rap music for dese parents' failures tho. And at some point personal accountability has to come into play for some of dese youngins too. You old enuff to know robbin and shootin mufukkas are bad things and can lead to eam worse outcomes. But mufukkas choose to do it anyways. :manny:

No boogeyman is in da headphones forcin nikkas to do none of dat dumb shyt. I undastand "influence" but to a certain degree. Cmon nah. :aicmon:

But thats the thing. Tell me whats being rapped about 90% of the time? Violenceagainst other blacks, selling dope to the black community, extreme materialism, promiscuity, and the glorification of the gang/prison lifestyle. Where's the songs about why these conditions exist. Wheres the songs about who PURPOSELY created those conditions. Wheres the songs uplifting the community to rise above these conditions? Are they scared to make these types of songs? Will the labels not allow it? They rap about killing other blacks all day but wont dare speak out against real life injustices

Yall still talking about robbing and killing specifically. Where in the OP did i mention that? You're purposely lazering in on that because u cant deny that this culture promotes and glorifies and overall ignorant lifestyle. This is about and overall mindstate. Post me mainstream music by J*ws and Asians glorifying the genocide of their own race. We are the only group on the planet that does it.

Although this dude does seem to make this thread over and over, it's not like he doesn't have a point. There's something very detrimental to hearing music about mistreating other blacks and wasting money on material trinkets over and over on the radio.

If you listen to 'white' stations their music never talks about robbing or killing other whites so why does ours? Food for thought.

The trolls wont tackle this post. You are 200% rite sir

:snoop: Lol, mah nikka...I don't have da energy to waste on arguing about something dat is far beyond mine and your means to change realistically.

Like I said before, I don't eam fukk wit rap music like dat to begin wit. All I can do is make sure da youngins in mah family and mah future family know da difference between right & wrong and to help develop em good human beings so dey can make da world a lil betta. Dat's it.:yeshrug:

Dis notion of cleansing something dat is so woven in our culture...well again, I wish you da best of luck. You gon need it. :francis:
