ok so I just talked to my boy in kenya. apparently the place WAS justifying it because they got robbed a cpl times, but apparently this made national news and that shyt got closed as of today (yesterday). it caused major national outrage. the employees lives also got threatened.

Not much came out of these "probes" because of cover ups, but believe me those Chinese firms are on some fukkshyt. Some Zimbabweans have physically fought back though, and a lot of Zimbo's avoid Chinese shops because the products are considered cheap and written off as "Zhing Zong". nah this is surpring to be because kenyans arent c00ns. they typically wont allow this sort of thing. im talking to my boy in kenya right now on skype, he's livid!!!!!! he's saying that the majority of people had no idea that this was going on. the chinese restaurant were copping please saying they did this because of thieves and that a cpl of politicians (who im sure will come under fire now) allowed it. so far the restaurant has been closed down, employees are in fear of their life, and this sort of discrimination doesnt typically happen in kenya. hes saying hes getting message not only from me, but from people from congo, Tunisia, france, south africa etc telling him wtf??

seriously this is uncharacteristic of kenyans, east africans are pretty nationalistic and tribalistic, this kinda thing wouldnt happen in somalia, zimbabwe, south africa. its usually reserved for c00ntastic countries like nigeria

The owner of a Chinese restaurant in Nairobi’s Kilimani neighbourhood that denies access to Africans after 5 p.m now faces prosecution for operating a restaurant without a license.

Zhao Yang was arrested on Monday and released on a Sh50, 000 bond.

He is set to appear at the Milimani courts on Thursday to answer to charges of operating a restaurant without a license.

The restaurant, simply known as the Chinese Restaurant, and located on the junction of Galana and Lenana roads, does not admit Africans after 5pm.

Only taxi drivers or Africans accompanied by Chinese, European or Indian patrons are allowed into the compound.

But Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko and former Cabinet Minister Raphael Tuju, said to be a friend of the owners, are allowed in after sunset.

anyways. just got word from my boy that the owner has been jailed for fraud or some shyt, they're after the other workers now, 2 of 4 have been arrested and now its huge national news in kenya. place might get burned by midnight, folks are furious. doesnt help the intl community have taken notice and kenyans are feeling the heat. not looking good for those owners and the politicians that allowed it. apparently opp politicians are taking the initiative. shyt getting real in kenya right now.
