ok i can see the production and some of the visuals (twerking is from Africa tho :lolbron:). Subject matter kind of a stretch

i only skimmed through this thread but @IllmaticDelta can you explain what about this song is "appropriating" African American culture :why:

The question should be, what isn't Afram influenced in that video/song? Basically the entire vibe from the half R&B + rap styled vocals, the posing, bboys and the chicks with cars gives off urban american vibes but it's filtered through a touch of Africa.

Twerking for sure is related to African pelvic dances but it's not an appropriated dance...it's an inherited/genetic way of dancing that runs through Niger-Congo Africa. Twerking routine is just an Afram flip on these same dances just like Jamaican dancehall dances are a flip on them.







at some point all "booty" dances look the same:lolbron:
