House music is from the South and West Sides of Chicago. People have been playing it in basement parties since the 1970's. As a matter of fact pretty much all Black music starts among the poor Black people in America.

There were no gays involved in that music at that time. Hell it might be played among the gays now, because the White people are involved; but back then it was played by Black people.

It got embraced by the hood a little bit later.....

Could be argued that modern rap production is simply house/techno layered with computer drums and lyrics.
most modern rap production is influenced by dj Paul from 3-6 mafia and the Crunk sound or Bay Area mobb music

That is true but Mike Will/Metro/London sound is veering from that and uses a lot of synth based production that you'd find in house music.

I don't think that info is correct, because as soon as Disco stopped being played back in the day they were playing House music. Hell it was a long time ago, but it wasn't no fags around when the music was being played in the Hood.

Could it be that as a result of African diversity, Africans can be other black tones besides

House music originated in the gay mostly black clubs in chicago in the 80's. the roots of house are disco and soul.

No, House music just like Disco was made and pioneered by straight people but gays embraced it with many of the DJ's being gay (Knuckles, Larry Levan etc..)

but outside of chicago, detroit, b-more and jersey and perhaps NY most blacks are not fukking with house music like that unless theyre 'different'.

they dont even mess with juke or ghetto house outside of the cities i mentioned.

try playing the perculator in memphis or Alabama and see how they react :russ:

This is in part because alot of Afram culture is regional. An Afram from the NYC isn't going to be listening to Zydeco and Delta Blues but people from Louisianna, Mississippi and Texas will.

I'm saying yall abandoned house music and white have totally changed it and made it their own. You can't claim it as your black culture now.

We never abandoned House music....what happened is that it got jacked outside the USA and when filtered back to the USA, the origin was clouded for Americans (whites)

First academic conference on techno music and its African American origins (2006 article)

"Maultsby said the conference will re-establish the African American origins of the genre and an understanding of the context from which it came.

"It is interesting how the music migrated from Detroit to Europe, and the music became associated with rave parties, and then migrated back to the U.S., and Americans became involved ... and the African American identity became invisible," Maultsby said. "Music can be appropriated and re-appropriated, and history can be distorted as a result of that ...Very few people associate techno with its African American origins."

First academic conference on techno music and its African American origins to be at IU on Oct. 21: IU News Room: Indiana University

whites in germany, UK and france always knew the origins of the music

Hell European whites ALWAYS seemed to give AA credit unlike American whites. Many British rock stars credit rock to blacks in American and even state they were influenced by black rock artist and rhythm & blues artists.

So its not surprising that Europeans acknowledge the black roots of House music....

Most Igbo were captured by Efik people whom the British had armed. Some Igbos were tricked into slavery by the use of JuJu and it's priests and priestesses.
:wtf: pretty sure igbos were the ones that made the first runaway slave safe haven, i can't remember the exact location but word was once a slave set foot there before boarding they were free.
