:whoa: I don't believe it. Though we do have some non SSA admixture, claims that some ethios are descendants of mythical Jewish "holy men" were usually myths started by the ruling class to legitimise the rule of the royal family and the ruling ethnic group. It's all bullshyt. And that's coming from someone whose ethnic group were the perpetuators of these myths

Harar - Adere people
They are a small but important ethnic group who controlled the trade in the city of Harar. Harar was the source of islamic scholarship in Islamic Ethiopia. The adere were originally Arabs who came to Ethiopia a thousand years ago and mixed with the local gurage people. You can say this small city is the birth place of Islam in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa. They are a Semitic people who speak Geysinan.
