Dope video. Earna was talking facts.
what parts have you visited?
Im tryna get to Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Ethiopia and Sudan.
I'm glad AA's and DOS are looking at Africa more, I hope we can get over there and create communities and businesses. We could stabilize over there a lot of things with our presence alone.
I would rep you if I could. Props to that lady but that's an aspect of capitalism that is nocive and unneeded. The house in the first video is a colosseum waste of space. The land is the most important asset in the world. More land, smaller house sizes(Built vertically), and more organic farmland. Africans are communal people so our future cities should be based on this principle. Everything should be within a 5 km radius.
Less land used
More people in less land
Homes built vertically
Cities/suburbs built on the communal principle
Easily accessible cities
Fewer cars
More land for organic farming
Tribalism is already a major local problem. Segregating yourself in a major city will create problems. The cities in Africa are best when they have mixed residency. Areas divided by ethnicity are either country or slum in the city. If you want to integrate into local life you would have to live amongst thr locals. Just be in the city. You dont need to creates segregated hoods. If you mean AAs should get back to Africa and live amongst random people in the village, then I disagree AAs and DOSs at this point are their own ethnicity and Tribe.(And should be recognized by every government as such.) Where ever we go in Africa we should live together and build communities centered around our unique identity. It's safer for us that way. As long as there is mutual respect it's all love.
I'm not saying they shouldn't move to Africa fam
It is something that I encourage but I also stress the importance of being mindful. You're stepping into an environment where your money puts you in a position of power and the laws of the land don't provide a check against it. Your conscience needs to be on point.
This isn't really accurate.I am not completely sure, and i have asked myself the same thing. But, i think it has more to do with the fact that most AA's can trace their DNA's to Ghana, and i also think, that what remains ''AFRICAN" inside of the black american culture, is heavily rooted in Ghana.
I think @Akan can give you a better explanation.
Her home is beautiful
I love wrought iron and I'm not a fan of new builds. From an architectural and interior design standpoint I hate that house. Looks to be dated about 20-30 years. But I love the fact she was able to get her own land and live out her life the way she wanted to. She could have easily ended up alone in a 1 bedroom apartment like so many other women her age.
Breh you taking what I said and thinking about it the wrong way. I didn't say AA and DOS only, the point is not to segregate ourselves but to protect ourselves in a foreign place. It would be horrible for us to move over there and completely dissolve as a community. For multiple reasons:Tribalism is already a major local problem. Segregating yourself in a major city will create problems. The cities in Africa are best when they have mixed residency. Areas divided by ethnicity are either country or slum in the city. If you want to integrate into local life you would have to live amongst thr locals. Just be in the city. You dont need to creates segregated hoods.
