Haus of Wrestling can confirm that Ace Steel was re-hired by AEW “several months ago” but has not been actively working in the backstage area. Steel was terminated by the company shortly after the locker room altercation following AEW: All Out but was re-hired shortly after. :pachaha:

Upon Steel’s re-hiring, he was told he would be working with Tony Khan on creative, in some capacity, but his presence backstage would upset some of the talent. So, for that reason, Steel has been working remotely for the company for the past few months.

There was an understanding in place that once AEW: Collision debuted, Steel would return to the road for AEW, working as an agent on that brand. However, on Tuesday, the decision was made not to bring Steel back on the road with the promotion, and Punk learned of it shortly after. Following that, there was some miscommunication between lawyers and, subsequently, Punk was pulled from the Collision announcement.

That said, Punk is still with AEW and it sounds like he is motivated, and wanting to help the company’s growth however he can. Punk’s relationship with Tony Khan also appears to be on sound footing, with no issues between the two men, and communication remaining open.
Where is Dave and Bryan actually breaking fukking news about this months ago... Such fake ass insiders all they talk about is stupid gossip only wrestling marks get worked up about...

Great thing theres lots of internet wrestling insiders. Tell me the negative reports about Omega and Bucks since September that Dave & Bryan omitted
Have you been paying attention to anything at all? Take your cape off breh, It’s very obvious that all these so called ”Insiders” don’t have any real sources about any of this shyt since the very beginning. Ace Steel has apparently been back with the company for months now for crying out loud.

As a result, the Wrestling Observer staff gets all their “scoops” from the camp in which they are in bed with, the camp that talks to them which is The Bucks and Kenny camp. Same goes for Fightful. That’s how you get all these bias reports regurgitated as fact. AEW has been friendly with all these dirtsheets from the very beginning for a reason.

Once again…if I was The Elite, I would peep game and ride out the contract. TK is literally bending over backwards to Phil and he is choosing him over his “EVPs”

Literally splitting the show for HIM :mjlol:

You can’t make this shyt up..

Hes also making Dynamite the Elite show, they're in the A storyline of the company and they're quite literally the EVPs so why would they have an issue with it when they're also getting perks?

Last month we heard Punk wanted to talk to them and they didnt wanna so if anything the show is being split for them

Who was it that said that Punk was holding out to get Ace rehired?

There was never an outright source saying each souce either said rumours or there was "Some discussion" about Steele

On Wednesday when Punk wasnt shown on the Collison ad and the story about his name being taken out of the press release, Bryan started speculating something happened. Then Mike Johnson's report was that he had "heard rumours" something was up and Ace Steel was being mentioned. Dave said he had heard "things that some people said were true that others said werent true" and people kinda put together that it was a hold out over Steel. Fightful said Punk wasnt meant to be advertised but there was some hold up regarding Ace Steel's place. Hausman the next day said Steele had been there and it was just a matter of if he should be on the road or not for the new show and now the latest report was that issue was resolved and he wasnt back

Dont know if this means he'll be on the roster but hes working creative too

What's the deal with every #2 USA promotion just being WCW in disguise. Like why the fukk do active wrestlers are in so many position of power... Don't AEW got big time producers in Henry and Paul Wright to be in charge of booking?
