If I recall correctly, that’s originally how the relationship with Gap or Adidas dissolved because he wanted to open up Yeezy stores, but they never did. Also, both Gap and Adidas were selling items that looked very similar to the Yeezy stuff, but were slightly different and without the Yeezy name attached. He also wanted to sell the shirts for $20, but they were more expensive.
He could probably do it since he’s no longer under contract, but his name is mud right now. At the same time, prior to the past couple of weeks, his brand is more popular than it ever was. I know people said he should’ve just went independent all along, but he never would’ve gotten to this level independently.
