I just dont want the good and great 3 point shooters being penalized. I think if they give coaches the power to set limits,players can only blame the coach. And if coaches set their good and great shooters up for unlimited shots,we will all know who it is complaining. The bums who have no business shooting all those 3


It would also stop some of the great big men from shooting 3s. If you have a big and a guard who both shoot 3s about the same. It would make more sense to max out your guard and other 3 point shooter,since your big can get it in the paint effeciently. Force these coaches to actually coach since they wanna just look at analytics all day

They don't have do anything to penalize shooters to fix this.
They just need to make it easier for interior scorers to get their buckets. Maybe go back to man on man. So bigs like Embiid and them don't have to kick the ball out to shooters when getting doubled in the paint. give them 7 seconds in the lane instead of 5. something like that.

The need to incentivize interior and mid range scoring. Not disincentivize three point shooting.
if they do that things will balance out.

But at least he was driving to the hoop at least he was displaying all world skills while taking that amount of shots.

And he really didn't take that many three pointers when you watched what he did.

Iverson was a once in a generation athlete who had the green light and everybody understood that.

I've always found it hilarious how posters say they want to see more dunks and less 3s, but if you start taking 3-pt volume away, there's going to be less shots at the rim because the spacing is going to shrink.

Teams will willingly give up shots in the midrange, just so teams don't take a higher probability shot in the paint.

Short of being automatic from 2 anywhere (I'm talking a 99 rating on NBA 2K type of automatic), all you're doing is busting your ass to go up 8 just so Curry or Maxey or whoever can wipe that away in 90 seconds.

Exhaustive but I'm going to keep yelling it...

3rd point line active in the 2nd and 4th quarters will improve the aesthetic of the game considerably.
We will get 2 quarters of versatile offensive schemes. A return to elite post game, mid range, etc.

While, at the same time, we allow the 3 point shot in the most important quarters of the game so the fans can't say claim the 3 point line is weakened in the clutch.

If anything, this increases the potency of an elite perimeter offensive team in the clutch.

This is not rocket science to watch that this game is absolutely ridiculously out of control. He was supposed to be on top of this when the Rockets implemented this bullshyt.
