This is gonna get me killed maybe, but I hadn't listened to Voodoo in like 10 years so I put it on today and I honestly think I like Black Messiah better, or at the very least its equal

Brown Sugar always was special to me though, probably my favorite R&B/soul album

Brown Sugar always was special to me though, probably my favorite R&B/soul album

"Voodoo" turns 15 next month and "Brown Sugar" turns 20 soon too. Let's let "Black Messiah" breathe 1st, it did just drop but D'angelo's 1st two albums are certified Classics. I don't have a review yet, still taking the album in but Good Lord from what I've heard. Honestly all 3 of his albums have different feel and sounds. This is why D is a true artist.
