Aaron Rodgers is 6-5 in the playoffs and is 2-4 with 2 home losses since 2010. If he's the greatest, he gotta own that just like Peyton owns 11-13. The greats don't need caveats
I try to stay out of arguments regarding Rodgers, as we all know how I feel, but when I go through an entire page of ppl debating the rings argument, I gotta chime in.
It amazes me that in a sport where you have a 53 man roster, in which 46 dress for the game, and there are 11 on the field at a time, only ONE of those players gets attached the stigma of NEEDING to win the Super Bowl to determine his worth. The rings argument is stupid for all sports, but save for Baseball, none moreso than Football. Basketball is a bit different as a truly great player can have such a large impact on a particular game, but even that's stupid, as we've so often seen how much a good team eclipses an individual player's greatness.
And what makes this all funny, is Rodgers HAS A RING! But then of course 1 isn't enough. 2 won't be enough. 3 won't be enough. He'll never have enough in the eyes of some, because they refuse to admit that he's better than their favorite (whoever that may be). Nevermind that his play on the field hardly dips in the postseason (and his playoff numbers are better than Brady's, by the way. And Manning's of course. Pretty comparable to Montana's). Nevermind that our defense has been awful since the year we won the Super Bowl. Nevermind that he's been hurt the past 2 years going into the playoffs. Again: means nothing. All that matters are the ringzzzzzz. WHERE ARE THE RINGZZZZZZZ RODGERS?!?!? God I hate this argument so much.
Rodgers is the most complete QB we've ever seen. If you can't admit that, then there's nothing more to say. He's doing things at that position that we've literally never seen before, and not just in 4 games stretches, either. The numbers have been beaten into our brains, so no need ot do it again. He can do any and everything the aforementioned QBs can do, but the same can't be said about them. The legs man. The legs change everything. Take his legs out of the equation, and then maybe you have an argument. But you can't take them out. They're there, and that's what makes him more dangerous than the rest of 'em. HIs skillset is the best we've ever seen, and his onfield production is the best we've ever seen. What more do you need to see? Oh, I know:
Yall nikkas taking this mobile QB thing way too far. Yall acting like he's Vick or Russell Wilson . He's a good runner but yall are ODing. I think he could be the GOAT one day tho. Not yet
Why y'all be acting like Jennings, Jordy, Adams, Cobb was some diamonds in the rough that no one scouted? Like they NEEDED A-Rod to not be sorry? They were all projected first or second round. MUST WE CYSE SHYT TO DEATH TO PROP UP RODGERS?
Now, Deion Branch, Troy Brown and David Givens, who started in the 2005 SB (yanno, Tom's THIRD)...THEM NYGGAS WERE ACTUALLY SORRY!
so, stop with all this, man.
nobody saying rodgers ain't a beast. but he aint the best ever. shyt, if you like the way he throw the ball. GREAT. Warren Moon threw the best ball I've ever seen...loves watching him throw. But, I ain't calling GOAT off a bamma giving me chills when he makes a nice throw. Y'all breaking all kinda fans traditions tryna promote a 1-ring QB to GOAT.
furthermore, fukk this argument that Rodgers had to sit three years behind Farve, at least Rodgers was a starter in college, Brady was seventh string at Michigan, having to split time with Drew Henson his last two years in Ann Arbor. Rodgers was a first round pick, 20th I believe, Brady was 196th. Brady started his professional career as the fourth string quarterback, behind starter Drew Bledsoe and backups John Friesz and Michael Bishop; by season's end, he was number two on the depth chart behind Bledsoe.

I will give him(Rodgers) the most talented and skilled QB of all time. It takes more than talent/skill to be the goat. The best have to elevate their team when the chips are on the line. Rings have to be considered when comparing the cream of the crop. Brady and Montana were more effective playing QB all time that Rodgers as of now. To be determined
Aaron Rodgers is not the GOAT because his resume just doesn't stack up to Brady, Montana and them.
But, I will argue to my death, that Rodgers' prime is the GOAT prime. I have never seen a quarterback, in his prime, play the position so well so effortlessly.

6-5 is a winning record and Rodgers is 2nd all time in QBR in the playoffs. Manning has a losing record and is garbage in the playoffs. Stop it, u been exposed as a horrible football fan with your stafford talk and thinking the Lions were top to bottom a better team then the Packers.

Mobility doesnt mean he has to run for 500+ yards a season ala Vick. He's mobile inside and outside the pocket. And he's second to none when throwing on the run without his feet set.

thats my point when mentioning GOATS. IMO, theres too many elite QB who's have played or still is playing to anoint just one. But i have never seen such a complete QB play as Rodgers. I dont care if had zero rings, it wouldnt change my mind that he's the best QB i have ever seen play.
Godgers is the best QB of all time, hes the best possible combination of all QB skills.
Ive never seen another human being run to the left and make a throw across their body on time and with accuracy, its like farve with all the big plays and no mistakes.
Rodgers played good in all but two playoff games and with a defense that went down as one of the worse in NFL history (2012) yet they expect him to make the SB and win
yet nikkas wanna crown Brady as someone who has a shyt team around him yet his first few super bowl performance were mediocre at best and they still won. hell his first ring he was garbage. there's a reason why his kicker and defense get more credit on the streets then he does in his first super bowl(s).

Sorry breh but this is very emotional outburst by you.
And what you said is not quite true. It's not simply rings. It's 1)longevity and 2)playoff performances against comparable qbs
Simply put, nfl players are measured by performance, not individual talent. When player a and player b are comparable but player b has 4 more rings, player b career performance is simply better in the grand scheme of things.
Now I'm one of the biggest "defense wins games" advocates you'll see out there. No qb wins games by themselves. However if we're talking about the greatest qb of all time he has to have good playoffs. Very good playoffs performances. This is what Marino stans don't understand. It's not that Marino doesn't have rings.... it's that in the biggest game of his life he shat the bed. Yes the defenses are great in the offs. But once again we are talking about GOAT qb not just hall of fame top 5 qb
Now this applies less to arod but it applies nonetheless. Another sb trip and 3 or so years playing at a high level will cement him as top 3 . he needs more playoff beasting to surpass Joe and Tom.
And - I'm sure you know this - I'm a Cal fan who has always been a fan of Arod and he's easily been the best qb in the game for years now.
