We've always known the salary cap was going to be an issue that's why the hope is that Klay can at least be 70% of his old self and the rest of the roster gets filled with vet minimum ring chasers. The Warriors are a top 5 defense because of Draymond and Wiggins. Not only that but Wiggins is a guaranteed 18+ points a game and doesn't get injured. How many two way players in the league are currently better than him? Who would you trade for in this scenario?

What do you expect GS to get for Wiseman and the Minny pick plus their own first without attaching a contract to it? Personally, I think they should keep Wiggins but they will need a contract to facilitate a deal with Wiseman and the Minny pick for someone who fits their timeline.

A sign and trade with Oubre would help but that only works if the other team has something of value to do the deal or you add multiple teams into the transaction. It would also help if that Minny pick ends up 4th-5th instead of the 7th-8th that it's projected to be.

An oubre sign and trade just has to bring back a player or more likely, players that are better than Bazemore, Mulder. There may be some teams that are looking to go younger that may have some vets they want to shed. We have to get something for him to fill out the roster.

I'm in the minority that wants to keep Wiseman and the Minny pick so you have to ask the rest of the brehs about who they want to trade for. I just don't understand how people can still be so willing to throw away Wiggins as if he hasn't proven himself.

Yea. Give me wiseman. Just school him hard during the summer and see if he can take a leap

hopefully the warriors can get the 4th pick somehow and grab green

but i dont see how we compete for a chip and try to develop wiseman :yeshrug:

Yeah 6th man off the bench. It just depends on how Klay recovers. I don’t expect him to come back and be all star elite 2nd scoring option Klay right off the bat. But the threat of having an all time shooter out there will make life so much easier for Dray, Steph and Wiggs.

It depends on who GS thinks that they can get with Wiseman/Minny pick plus their own picks. I would keep Wiseman and the Minny pick personally, but they don't fit the current timeline. Melo wouldn't have either and would have just ended up in trade discussions for a player who does fit what GS is trying to do right now.

If that pick is top 5, then the value increases dramatically. If it falls to 7th-8th, then meh. It really depends on where the pick falls and then GS will go from there. It's conveying this year unless Minny pulls a Memphis/NO from a few years ago and jumps into the top 3.
