Am i wrong about this:

Would folks say these same things about Dwight Howard coming out of high school right into the league?

His high school highlights ^^^

He was taken first, right out of school and I don't see anything in those highlights that stands out as something that Wiseman can't/doesn't do..

Dwight in his first season (at a time where the league was arguably more physical) averaged 12 points, 10 boards and close to 2 blocks.

You can argue that DH is a better player but I would argue that we don't know that yet. I think it's appropriate to compare them given the similarities. Wiseman is basically coming out of high school and his highlights are comparable to DH's before he got to the league.

If y'all do draft Wiseman, I hope he pans out and contributes to winning next season, but I'm not convinced it's the right route to take. At the end of the day, y'all core has a diminishing window, so the legal tender of that pick is maximizing whatever time is left before that window closes - rather than being of currency for a rebuild. Its value is using it on what is proven (players in the league who can help out right now), rather than on an unproven prospect, who'll fall between the spectrum of being a star from day one, or ending up being Hasheem Thabeet.

If this were 2015 and Steph, Klay and Dray were all five years younger, then picking Wiseman would make a lot more sense. But it's not.

Your wrong, when your drafting in the top 2 you go for the hr. The warriors won’t be in this situation again for probably 5 years, make it count. Also the warriors interior situation is trash, they need a athletic freak inside to compete. Trade for mediocre and you’ll get mediocre. Warriors probably can’t even keep chriss beyond next season.

I think the key to us keeping the pick and taking Wiseman is riding on Wiggins

If he could be a 20/6/4 type offensive threat with good defense like his potential suggest then I wouldnt even think to pass up having him and Wiseman next to the OG Warriors

Steph is Klay done added 2-3 years more to their careers with KD coming and Steph being off fam near another 2 years due to wrist injury and Covid shutting down season.. Don’t be surprised Steph still playing at a high level when he’s well into 36-37 years old... Klay will be around well into his 40s because of his shooting

And his defense was impressive in his short stint here
