Re: Embiid, here's what I said before the game tonight..

I don't see a way to keep Simmons and Dray on the floor together and I'm not interested in dumping Dray so I think I'm out on Ben.

Gobert, man, I'd have to at least consider that... I don't hang up the phone if I'm Bob Myers. I at least hear it out.
Worst mistake Myers ever made as GM was passing up Gobert to trade down to draft Nedovic. Can't miss out on another great big.

So I’ve been thinking about the warriors offseason plans, and this is what I’ve came up with:

Keep Weisman and the 2021 pick. This is how you become the Spurs, and build a team who's always a contender. These picks will come off the bench, and will be groomed for Stardom by the time Steph, Dray, & Klay window is up

Sign Ibaka, Gasol, Whiteside, or Meyers Leonard in FA

Sign Josh Jackson with a min. Easy league min contract. Low risk/high reward opportunity

Sign Jae Crowder or Harry Giles in FA

Trade for a late 1st pick by giving up some future 2nd rd picks or a future 1st and get Jaden McDaniels and Cassius Winston (Draymonds boy) or Markus Howard with the other second we have

Now Imagine Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Dray, and Gasol/Leonard/ or Whiteside as the first string.

Leonard can shoot 3's at a 40% clip, Whiteside and Ibaka are defensive minded shot blockers (More Ibaka than Whiteside), and Gasol a former DPOY who shoots 3's at a 39% clip. Either choice is a W

Second string would be Poole, Lee, Crowder, Paschall and Weisman

Weisman can be a ROY contender, Paschall will get even better than last year, Lee can shoot deep, Poole is your midrange bucket, and Crowder is your defensive guy

Stash McDaniels and Winston, so they can get garbage time mins and learn the league

:myman: I see you breh

Who would you use for the TPE? I'm big on Josh Richardson cause he's versatile but Dennis Schroder might be available too and him off the bench could be:ohlawd:

I’m also a Sixers fan, so I’ve seen Josh Rich play a lot, and I like his defensive abilities. His scoring and play making could use some work, but he’s solid, and could contribute to an updated small ball/death lineup, or be the second shift leader. I like that as a TPE pick

Only thing is what would we give up for him. He has a year left plus a player option that I’m guessing he’s gonna decline.

Dennis is a microwave. Instant offense right there, but I don’t think OKC will give him up easily, as I expect them to build on the team they have now.

I also like kelly oubre (unlikely now since the suns had that streak), TJ warren, D rose, JJ reddikk, and maybe Clint capela?

I heard the Kings didn't keep Giles because his work ethic is questionable, if the Warriors can't turn that around no one can

Unless the Warriors are getting a sure fire superstar i keep the pick and either draft Wiseman or whoever else they think is the best prospect at that spot. Cause if it's Wiseman they have the center spot locked up for the next 15 years. If it's Lonzo they potentially have their Klay or Steph replacement down the line and the same with Edwards if he is there too. Of course ALL 3 of these players probably won't be stars but at least 1 more than likely will or at least be very good and the Warriors should want to set themselves up for the next decade plus. Klay Steph and Draymond already 30 or older so they won't be there forever and probably not in the next 5 years if we are being real. This pick is the chance for GSW to stay relevant well after all of them have left.

I like Vassel's tape and I feel like he'd be a really good player in a couple of years but his upside is probably starter at best. Wiseman is gonna have growing pains and will need a couple months in a training camp to even be able to put on the floor comfortably but he has the most star potential in the draft outside Edwards, Toppin could be put on an NBA floor tomorrow and he'd be a capable 12/6 guy from jump but he's food defensively and he and Paschall operate the same spot essentially.

The reason I'm so pro Wiseman is because I think they can fix his jump nature quickly, give him a simplified and defined role that can maximize his physical gifts next season and then develop him along slowly. Defend rim, stay down on pump fakes, don't shoot jumpers unless wide open, run the floor hard, rebound, catch lobs. Very simple.
