Nobody has yet to truly master the old sound being current and turn it into pop music, before this. That is real singing, real chords being played, real bass, harmonies, no necessary auto tune
Black Americans used to reinvent ourselves musically every decade. I personally don't want to hear new 50 year old music

Cause most older music relates and points to pivotal times in history. The music now doesn’t connect so much.

A lot of R&B artist are doing their thing tho. (Lucky Daye, Alex Isley, Vanjess, Nao, Gallant, Snoh Shantel Mays, etc)

But it's not.

Musically it is old, but the lyrics are modern and witty.

That's the difference between just trying replicate old music.
