fukk Foxxy Brown and Jay-Z.......
the numbers speak for themselves. New music is failing with the majority
Iight i gotta interject with these shytty ass talking points
NEW MUSIC IS NOT GARBAGE
WE NOW HAVE ACCESS TO MILLIONS OF SONGS WITH THE PRESS OF A FINGER , WHEN BEFORE YOU HAD TO BUY THE DELIVERY DEVICE (CD, VINYL)
THERE WAS A LOT OF MUSIC RELEASED THAT PEOPLE DIDN’T GET THE CHANCE TO LISTEN TO. YOU HAD TO BE IN TO MUSIC, AND HAVE A WALLET DEEP ENOUGH. NOW THAT APPLE MUSIC & SPOTIFY EXIST, OF COURSE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO LISTEN TO MUSIC THAT THEY NEVER HEARD, OR MIGHT’VE HEARD IN PASSING, ETC ETC.
NEW MUSIC IS NOT BAD, WHAT THEY CHOOSE TO PUT OUT AND PROMOTE IS WHATS BAD
Old heads bruh i swear
Same here.
There’s so much dope shyt getting made right now it’s ridiculous.
These the last 3 songs Tidal just played for me..
I’m a vinyl head and you will likely find me in a vinyl store in Charlotte.. these kids are snatching up all the old shyt, meanwhile Lii Uzi and them be polluting the used album bins. You can find something dope for a dollar as opposed to buying mediocre or wack shyt for 20 or better
LolThis thread did not go the way I expected it to. I remember a point on The Coli that “young” nikkas would neg and everything else if you said the new music was trash. I guess it’s simply undeniable at this point
Christina Aguilera's new Spanish album has social media on fire....everyone else is suffering..lolCause new music is rushed like mixtapes, with no repeatability. I blame Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane for that paradigm.
Now a 5 Mic album is unheard of.
Even these producers are extra lazy nowadays.
That whole tin sounding Swizz Beatz track, with a bunch of talk about absolutely nothing at all.
It’s funny he posted that song in particular because I hold nikkas like Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz very much responsible for removing the soul and funk aesthetic from hip hop and promoting that money over absolutely everything mentality in the culture.
Then after destroying the integrity of our culture (making it passé to rap about community upliftment, knowledge of self, black pride…what hip hop was built on) these fakkits turn around and want to get all “sophisticated” by promoting European art to poor black people, making them feel even worse subconsciously about their place in the world.
talk to em
they ain't ready for this conversation tho
These kids received almost 10 million views for reacting to Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight" - a 41 year-old pop tune.
My 18-25 age family members watch all of their uploads and then stream the old songs that they review.
