AC/DC - back in black (would never rock a shirt)
Aaliyah - one in a million (i have an aaliyah shirt)
2pac - i could name way more than one, but Ambitionz as a Ridah is one of my favorite pac songs. Bomb first is my favorite album intro to date of any artist
pink floyd - not a damn thing, and i would never rock a shirt from them
metallica - master of puppets but i'd never rock any of their merch
Cube - it was a good day (that still gets played on the radio here)
Def Leppard - never in a million years would i listen to them :manny:
H.E.R. - Damage is one of my favorite R&B songs and it still gets spins everywhere....
Nirvana - Come as you are, smells like teen spirit. I fw nirvana and would wear merch
Selenas - Como me puedes. im from tx & i fk'd with latinas heavy :shaq:

these kids are lost, they could look up this shyt on Spotify in a blink of an eye.....most of these children would actually like the music if they gave it a chance in their "busy" microwaved lives.
Why you don't like pink floyd? :dwillhuh:

Let’s say the video is real, I’m not surprised they don’t know the black artists music. It’s just a symptom of how we don’t treasure our culture.

CACs make sure their kids know The Beatles, Rolling Stones etc and they’re always held in high reverence. Once our artists music is over 20/30 years old, we discard it and move onto the next one.

Look at how our hip hop legends are treated compare to rock ones. Metallica, AC/DC and their ilk will still sell out stadiums, old and young. Can’t say the same for rap. And if it does, it’s mostly CACs. :francis:

Not really.

As kids we had radio and broadcast TV and parents playing music. We learned about past pop culture by being exposed to it.

Now people just look at what they want on the Internet with earphones. There is a lot less random exposure.

This, parents always had it tuned to Magic 102. If I was wearing a Blackbyrds shirt back then best believe I’d bust out,

“I’m walking in rhythmmmmm, moving in sound”

They need to make specific shirts like the band, but also THE song you know by them.

In that case, I'd get a Pearl Jam shirt with the GOAT grunge song, "Jeremy"

White person: "Do you know any of the lyrics?":jbhmm:

Me: "And he hit me with a surpriiiiiiiise left":bryan:
Jeremy spoke in class today

This brings me back to early 2010s when me and my homies used to laugh at those hipster idiots rocking old school NBA jerseys of players who weren't even all stars :mjlol: some goofball rocking a Shawn Respert Milwaukee Bucks Champion brand jersey. That nikka never averaged over 10 points in a season :dahell:

I really wish I could remember, there was entire website making fun of these geeks

Breh, I was about to post something similar.

Just look at what our young ppl gravitate to. GARBAGE ass microwave music of today.

I think my kids are gonna be different. My 7 yr old never heard Jay Z "Heart of the City". He was singing the OG by Bobby Blue Bland. When my boys are with my father in law, they damn sure gonna hear them classics from way back.
