No, Not imo. I didn't find it all that amazing or suspenseful, not enough for a subscription. If it comes out on one of the subscription services that I already have, then I would watch but to solely get it for the purposes of watching this movie - Not at all. I didn't go to a theater to see it either. (But I'm the type of person that's a horror movie fan, so it would take a lot from a movie to classify as suspenseful or engaging to me, I usually go into these types of movies with no expectations- I wasnt disappointed in the sense that I need those 2hrs. of my life back; it was just "okkkkkayy"). The introduction and beginning scenes were great tho (first 20 mins); the rest wasn't worth all the hype that it received.Should I go through getting epix for one movie to see this?

Welcome. I wouldn't buy it- unless it was a "Digital Discount" on an internet streaming service like Amazon Prime Video for $7.99 or less. But rather than buy it, you might as well just get the subscription service (epix, etc) because I don't think it's the type of mystery/horror movie that's worth a 2nd view or worth watching multiple times in different formats but at least the trade off would be you have access to other movies. HBO might pick it up bc was a popular movie. Like to me, the latest "Halloween" movie 2018 installment would be worth buying.Props.
I saw it had four stars on my outdated spectrum guide and debuting on epix.. Which I got rid of cause they only had tmnt ii at best.
Is it worth buying?
or just hoping it will go to another network.
After star wars I don't trust movie reviews or stars. So I am just asking so I don't get ripped off after star wars.

@Art Barr I think if you're a horror movie fan type then it's par for the course- more suspense than scary and you're not going to be all complaining about it bc you don't have that expectation build up. But if you're a regular movie watcher, going into it with all these high expectations and looking at things too realistically- you're going to have all these critics that either like it a lot or find all types of fault with it bc they look at it too realistically.Just saw it again about an hour ago, ironically
Movie was dope
But you know, Coli movie snobs and all

Hereditary and Witch- I agree, I wasn't into that at all. Not scary and weak storyline. Witch was boring af, didn't finish it. You lost me at Saw tho- I like torture/gore horror movies like Hostel, Saw, Texas Chainsaw etc. sheeeshhh... you're going in . I happen to like the horror movie franchises but you're entitled to your opinion.Well you can say this about every movie
It’s a movie, everything isn’t always going to fall in place or they’re not going to give you every detail. Funny how that boring ass Hereditary gets praised on here and A Quiet Place doesn’t.
Even Bird Box (which I enjoyed but never considered scary) wasn’t as good as A Quiet Place but Coli snobs in here claiming it so.
nikkas were even talking about SAW being good when ALL of those movies were trash... nothing scary about them at all, just gore porn.
I remember when the dumbest scary movie franchise ever where random dumb shyt that was improbable to happening (I can’t remember the name) was being praised as being scary... I legitimately hated that entire franchise
Or that boring ass Witch movie... etc., A Quiet Place was unique af to me and dope because it had genuinely never been done and actually had extremely intense moments. But nikkas is asking “well, why didn’t the military figure it out or kill them”

Bird Box worst p.o.s. that I've seen in a minute, I get irritated just hearing people talk about it
I luvvvvvv horror movies too, but for me, it's more just an overall interest and fascination with all things horror movies as far as entertainment so I don't really watch to analyze details, compared to you where you seem to really critique and rate them accordingly. Insidious, Sinister, Conjuring series and the slasher types were all decent to me. There's this one movie on Netflix, The Terrifier - that was doing way too much, i didnt finish that all the way through, reached my gory limit. Paranormal Activity and Blair Witch were all overly hyped and didn't meet what I expected. My bar is kind of low, as long as I'm not bored and it doesn't come off as too generic- I'll watch and be ok with it. Horror movies should not be boring or too campy- that's where I draw the line.I love horror movies but a lot of this shyt ppl say they like is trash. Like I really enjoy horror movies
