Here is what I think.

Recently, Evillore was kinda trying to get the site away from it's stigma of being a bubble of hyper-liberalism and a lot of users were resenting him for it. I have a feeling this was a set up to get him in a tough spot. He probably killed the site temporarily to ban a bunch of people, then he'll re-open it once the purge is done.

Evillore is a fakkit but a lot of his moderators were way worse than he was. He should reopen the site as a forum strictly dedicated to gaming. Let the weirdos, trannies, and "sjw" brigade go congregate on reddit or something.
