Evilore had to take the site down because every single mod left and the place became a zoo.

Pretty much, Gaf didn't create what gamer culture is right now but they sure as hell nurtured and fed the fukk out of it.

I'll keep it 100, its more community oriented as in we got guys who love the fukk out of certain things and they'll keep you updated and on the ball when it comes specifically to those certain things. Our tech/programming talk is much more on the ball than our gaming stuff outside of E3.

Right now my hands are full trying to coordinate some of the exodus. I don't particularly care if everyone from GAF comes to our site, but there were a lot of good communities that are old as fukk that deserve to at the very least keep in touch with each other. Some people are using our site as a launchpad in all different directions and that's cool with me. They should. We ain't GAF and we've been upfront about it for years now (shyt, while everyone else has been surprised by this stuff we DAMN sure weren't).

But yeah, we ain't about the bytching but we're letting people vent right now as they're basically internethomeless. We're going to run some community management and maybe even help other sites get on their feet. We're seeing people who've posted on the site for 10+ years doing stuff like photography, WoW, engineering talks, etc who had no idea the owner was on some shyt. Sucks tbh.

if i hadn't invested so much time and effort into the people (fukk the money) i would've thrown all my usernames in the trash. the internet is a small place and forums only get more stressful the more involved you get.

according to most on gaf, our old nba community was the worst of the worst - now people are showing up specifically because we're nowhere as bad as thebore and they need a rally point. crazy ironic

It was long time coming to be honestEvilore bullshyt just caught up with everyone

Sucks for the community threads that been around for years that had cool people posting it (Mainly stayed in the FGC community thread) but that site became a cesspool of stuck up people that shyt on anyone with a different opinion that was different from the hivemind which created pages of witch hunts.

I only miss that site for the leaks and news but even with the leaks, they drove off insiders off the forum so their leak game became weak for a minute.
