Now if nikkas said I don’t want you changing my sons diaper
Or out her calling him mommas boy and kissing him on the lips/calling him handsome
They whole brains would leak from their ears :russ:
I changed my daughters diaper because that’s what a grown adult is supposed to do
Ain’t nothing sexual about changing diapers
I hate humans

On the surface BM sounds crazy, but too many women been through some shyt or close to an unfortunate situation and makes them hypersensitive to these scenarios.

The BM clearly doesn’t trust the BD and probably thinks he’ll pass changing duties onto someone else when BM isn’t around.

shytty spot to be in as the BM that feels strongly about this. Gotta take who you have a kid with serious :manny:

It will be plausible forever.

This is why you build family and community.

Grandmothers, aunts, etc can help you. My aunts bathed the grand babies when my cousin’s wives weren’t available. Give them a bath after family dinner, layer them, including outerwear and put ‘em in the car seat and take them straight home for bed.
Grandmother's aunts etc are all now working just like everyone else. You mean to me all the men in your family never once changed their kid's diapers ??? Stop with the lying.

Old school.

She’s following old school rules. Men don’t bathe, clothe the baby or change diapers, etc.

Not being funny but besides seemingly having the kid out of wedlock (?), she’s following old school rules.

He’s got a good one :ehh:

That wasn't the premise of her argument though.
She didn't want him changing the girls diaper cause she thought it was weird.

Strange thought process she has but not my problem I didn't lay down with someone who thinks that way:yeshrug:

I'd be perfectly fine not changing either diaper, but listening to her I'd slowly realize I just created a child with a traumatized human.

You’re right.

One of my good friends- raped by male cousin (blood relative).

One of my old staff members- raped by stepdad before mom divorced him while she was still a kid.

Another staff member- teenage girl actively being raped by stepfather (started when she was in junior high) while working with us and we had to help her move out of the family home and press charges.

The list goes on.

My point is, there will be women who allow husbands, babydaddies, etc to handle the babies or allow someone else to handle the babies and something will happen to the child.
It happens all over the globe.

No, it’s not every father, or uncle, or grandfather, or big brother, but it happens enough that we have plenty of ppl in each generation with horror stories about things that happened in their childhood.

This is simply about decreasing the chance.
It’s one thing to not let random male family members change a diaper or a bathe a child.

It’s another thing to not want the father of the child to do it. If that’s the case, why did you even have a child with them?

I don't buy the rational but if she wanted to change all the diapers all she gotta do is ask, Not like i enjoyed doing that shyt.
Unfortunately my baby mother was the opposite, said she couldn't change diapers because she had a weak stomach, and left that up to me exclusively.

Did they ever? Of course they did.

But we had 3-4 generations gathering for family dinner weekly, aunts and grandmothers around to babysit as opposed to all the kids being in daycare, my cousin’s wives were able to stay home for the first 2 or so years, if not just be stay at home wives period, etc. So yea…there were a lot of women who were around.
One of my aunts would take a hiatus from work and went down south to stay with her son and his wife for about the first 6-8months after the birth of each of their kids, and then his wife’s mom was in the mix as well.

Hell, my Nigerian homegirl, her mom left her dad in Nigeria and came to the US for tail end of her pregnancy and followed them to England to stay with them until the baby was like 1 or something.

It’s an old school thing. There are usually elder women in the family who are around. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Might be tougher now because, like you and others have noted, more ppl are still working, etc so those extra helping hands might not be around.

You keep talking in the past tense. That setup stopped being the norm by the mid 90s. Of course at family gatherings the women tend to the small children. I'm talking day to day. When my kids were babies if any of them needed to be changed I took care of it without a problem. I think you're in this thread be purposely obtuse/trolling for engagement.

Grown folks needing their entire extended family to help them change a diaper, feed and put a baby to sleep is :mjlol:
