In reality.. Lakers should be going for 3 point specialists...Bogdanovic and the mad teacher type players ..I think they should stick with who they got ...but get more well rounded next season. Trading for a star may not be the solution.

Replace Ball with KCP or Hart and add an additional pick. Lonzo has to much upside.

yeah i would hate to see zo go & the same with ingram. love the upside for both

but you gotta give to get. if a player the caliber of the brow is a possibility for this franchise i'm willing to pull the trigger

Lonzo's a good five inches taller than Rondo so I know you ain't talking about height. :dame:

lol, I'm talking about arm length. Rondo has longer arms and takes layups at angles where he can take advantage of that. Zo is way taller than Rondo and has decent size arms so he should be able to do the same especially against smaller guards.

How did Zu go from complete utter trash in the brink of getting waived to a starting center potential type player?

i mean its only 3 games so this might just be a fluke but what has impressed me more is his improvement on defense. zu has showed he can be decent offense but was always getting bullied on defense and looks lost on help defense. the past 3 games he looks like a different player on that end. its a crazy turn around :ohhh:

Imagine if we had like a Joe Ingles type...I’m keeping my eye on Svi... his jumper has been coming along month by month. He caught a body last night too :picard:

Lonzo did the “ :mindblown:“ and wasn’t ready for the ball :pachaha:

Honestly as long as the injury isn't too bad I think Lebron getting a week or two rest would be great for the team long term and short term. It'll give the young Lakers a chance to step up and show their worth and Lebron some needed rest. We know how strong he usually comes back after having a break. Plus for real if they are looking to make a trade a great chance to showcase a lot of people. This is the time for Ingram and Lonzo to step up and show Lebron their value.

A shooter would be a great fit for these Lakers but if they have championship aspirations I think they would need a shooter with defense. That's why Middleton would be such a huge pickup and a great fit. Past Middleton, Klay, and Kawhi there's sort of a huge dropoff and it's hard to find good shooters who also play D.

An interesting idea I've mentioned before that would work even if they get rid of no one would be if they used that cap space on something like Danny Green + Gasol/Cousins.

Lonzo
Danny Green
BI
LeBron
Gasol/Cousins

That lineup has defenders, distributors, and shooters all over the place.

You still have to get position to get those looks and then finish. And he's been making all sorts of plays on defense too.

This is not the Zubac we were seeing earlier this year.

How does he go from that to averaging damn near 20 and 10 with 3 blocks/game on 80% shooting over three games? :picard:

This is what I'm saying :gucci:

He looks like a completely different player, not even talking about the numbers

Danny Green can be got..but the other dudes will be retained by their teams..it's why I think the 3rd strings are the ones most likely available . The non-all NBA guys

The Truth
I’m not trying to sound like Stephen A Smith out here in these Coli streets but when you add Lebron to the lineup EVERYTHING gets rushed. Thats just the nature of the expectations that cole with playing with him, and especially IN la UNDER Magic freaking Johnson. I feel like Both Bron and Magic are on an excellerated timetable trying to see who to keep or who to trade/dump come the deadline. I feel like this team, as constructed, has a Conference Finals ceiling, which coming after the last couple years of mediocrity is INCREDIBLE. But it ain’t good enough for Bron/Magic (and I don’t necessarily blame them.)

I’m simply saying the environment and expectations don’t play well to a “lets allow the youngins to develop” type situation. Hell, when Bron came back to Cleveland and STATED in his return letter that he didn’t expect The Cavs to win a championship right away, the expectations for Kyrie and Blatt were through the roof. Blatt folded under the pressure (in addition to not being NBA ready) and Kyrie, though he rose to the occassion, got sick of it and bounced.

Its just the nature of existing alongside greatness
Then Lebron should’ve rushed his ass to another team.

No matter how many Allstate you put beside him to compete, we shouldn’t be blowing up our young team for shyt that might not stick

I don’t believe Magic is rushing to win anything other than to make this a competitive team... we are that.
