If Boogie bounces back he’ll be perfect for this squad.
Was beating that drum after he signed with GS. I would be shocked if somebody offered full max money even if he plays well.

If they traded BI, Kuzma, Ball and Hart for Davis, they'd have solid cap space remaining to fill out the roster (assuming they did this and didn't sign Cousins).

LeBron and Brow as the core and the following guys are gonna be free agents: Middleton, Redikk, Bogdanovic, Rose, Dinwiddie, Danny Green, the Morris twins, Collison, Patrick Beverley, Ariza, Taj, Aminu and McConnell. That's not mentioning their own guys like McGee, Rondo and Lance. They'd be able to put together a good roster around those two.

Two years from now?

Zo- Maybe 15-7-7
BI-18(ish)-5-5
Kuzma-20+

think I'm off base?

I was thinking more player comp.

On stats, Zo's points are probably a little high for any good team, the other two I'd agree with. But just posting stats you're ignoring positive/negative impact on defense, efficiency, etc.

Take those stats, and pretend someone said, "You have Rondo, Paul Millsap, and Andrew Wiggins. Would you trade them for Anthony Davis?"

You trade them all if you get a chance to land a generational talent like Davis. Those 4 players combined will never impact the game like he does. Dude is only 2 years older than Kuz.
I just completely disagree. You’re selling low on your best cost controlled assets. If Lebron was 30 I would say ok, go for it. But he’s about to be 34 and you have to believe he will decline more sharply at some point. You still have to have one eye on the future. AD is a “generational talent” that does not even guarantee the playoffs. We gonna be just like the Pelicans if Bron gets hit by Father Time and those two are all we got. 2nd round ceiling.

Besides, let’s keep it 100...AD would be relegated to a stretch 5 role in Bron Ball anyway. :lolbron:

Why would those two be all you had? You'd still have a max contract available plus the midlevel, and then filler.

Bonga
Middleton
Bron
AD
Javale

Hart, Mo, Zubac, title-chasing vets off the bench.

And that's assuming no Kawhi or KD. 2nd-round ceiling? :comeon:

We really fukked up letting Thomas Bryant go. nikka just dropped 31/13/2 on 14/14 shooting.

In other news, Thomas Bryant is absolutely balling on the Wizards :mjcry:

31/13 tonight :noah:

I wish there was an explanation for why we cut him

I'll repeat what I said in the Random Obs thread: they kept that scrub Sacre for YEARS and let Bryant go for nothing. :snoop:

I’d rather stick to the script. And that’s assuming Middleton would leave money on the table by leaving Milwaukee, who has his bird rights, and give up the opportunity to be a 2nd option. Bonga starting?? You can’t be serious...

If Lebron declines because of Father Time or injury, like I said, then yes, that very well could be a second round ceiling.

It’s tough to anticipate if we would even have a max spot after a trade. Pelicans will probably try to attach another (unwanted) contract and we may have to attach a couple of our one year guys for salary filler. Who knows at this point.

I'm gonna quote myself for what the rest of the roster could be:

Redikk, Bogdanovic, Rose, Dinwiddie, Danny Green, the Morris twins, Collison, Patrick Beverley, Ariza, Taj, Aminu and McConnell. That's not mentioning their own guys like McGee, Rondo and Lance.

All those guys are free agents and I believe they'd have around $34 million in cap space if they dealt BI, Kuz, Ball and Hart for Brow. Can't take back any money. If they're trying to tack on Soloman Hill, you hang up. Besides, him and Moore both expire after next season, so they wouldn't have an urgent need to get rid of them.

So if you have Davis, LeBron, Wagner and Svi as the remaining guys under contract, you'd have to believe they'd have a chance to round out the roster with something like Bogdanovic, Green and McConnell along with bringing back McGee and Lance (dunno how their cap holds would affect things and what they'd be able to do if they renounced them).

I think they could definitely put together a title contender immediately if they planned it out right. If they can win right now, you have to go for it. People get caught up in potential too much and what could be instead of what is.

I don't think there gonna trade him this season and I'm curious about the young guys in a playoff situation.

Only question is u gotta pay All 4 of em eventually if u go the Bron + free agent route what's the price y'all willing to pay em to stay rather then trade for ad

I'm not saying to automatically pull the trigger. I'm saying you can clearly build a strong roster.

You don't take contracts back unless they're letting you keep BI and Kuz.

You're assuming Bucks are willing to pay Middleton supermax. Just a year ago people were talking like he ain't worth even the regular max.

If you do strike out on Middleton, KD, Kawhi, Klay, and Jimmy, then you still can add Cousins, DAJ, Bledsoe, Tobias Harris, or Gasol and have money left over for shooters and defensive specialists.

If Bongs can hit the three like he was in G-league and is a plus defender, he can definitely start for a team that already has Bron, AD, and Middleton. All you need him to do is play D and hit open threes. Think of him like a cheap Danny Green.
