If Demps is really refusing to even field calls and won't deal AD to the Lakers, why wouldn't every other interested team low ball him in the summer?
No chance Ainge is including Tatum in that scenario.
Demps lowkey probably feels extra pressure from basketball reasons. He was raked through the coals for the deal he did with the Lakers so now he wants to act brand new so he doesn’t get embarrassed again.
The clippers trade was supposedly the better deal but here he is bout to lose another star. At what point does it become the front office’s fault? All this colluding against the Lakers is only going to make things worse if we succeed because no one way will we let up.
I was browsing LG one day and remarkably I saw an interesting take on there. Compared to the rest of the NBA owners, the Buss family is relatively poor. Very similar to the Raiders situation in that it’s a family owned business and that’s the primary source of family income. Its much easier for more wealthy owners to boss up on the dysfunctional Buss kids whereas Dr. Buss + Logo + Chick couldn’t be fukked with inside and outside of the organization.
Im not saying Kidd has a record of developing young PGs.....but Zo is pretty much comparable to one guy and thats JKidd.....so maybe thats the line of thinking the Laker brass is going with.

I don’t really blame Bron per se, however he and Rich might’ve made what should’ve been a forgone conclusion much harder. Unless there was talk that free agents weren’t signing to LA unless we got AD there was no reason to rush into this. We’ve put what cap space was going to be left at risk cuz you know NO gon want to send back a terrible contract. And I’m sorry but just Bron and AD as the focal points ain’t beating Steph/Klay/KD. We need a third guy if we’re taking this route.

Yeah, and the reason they did it is because we were publicly making a play for them, especially PG. Bron and Rich made the same mistake here, trying to flex power instead of just making the smart move. If they approach the Pelicans owner in private about this the situation would be completely different right now.
Also, if we didn't get BRon we would've got another star like PG. We're not an attractive destination just because of bron. Too many things happening that are in Bron's control bro
