If the Knicks could do it again id still want them to pick Frank over Smith, word to @blackcrusaderm

Hes very valuable defensively with his long arms, even when he gets switched onto taller players he can contest them. He has good reflexes and instincs, he knows where hes suppose to be most the time

I like his approach offensively. Hes under control, patient, and hes calculated. Hes shown that he can shoot and he can get in the paint and finish with floaters and layups. Hes also made good passes and has worked well with KP

His style of play ages well, where as Dennis Smith types slow down quickly once they hit 30. His alligator arms wont help him

That lineup at the end with Lance is KILLER defensively. Just one more defensive 2 way 3 or 4 next year could make this team really special.

Flying to South Carolina for work, so Idk if I'll be getting time to drop full breakdowns this week but while I have time wanted to do some kinda drop about last night's game because wow:

- I'm content to watch this team play that brand of basketball all year. I still prefer to move a few guys and make space but the play right now is undeniable. What I don't want is a "playoff push" type of trade search where we lose assets for immediate attempts at improvement. We have logjams to break up and if clearing roster space improves the team organically so be it, but the tank needs to be blown up by the young future core of this team.

- Hornacek deserves a lot of credit for last night. A big defensive adjustment in deciding to switch more often in the second half that really started to pay off when he went with a big rangy line-up that was really two SF's on the wings for a big chunk of late minutes.

- THJ's shot selection is going to be torture but he's always one hot streak away from giving you a double digit quarter. I much prefer when he's playmaking off the dribble, pushing in transition and attacking the rack to when he's searching for a three to trigger a run.

- What more is there to be said about KP? He's an elite rim protector when he can float inside, he's becoming an unstoppable scorer before our eyes and the sky is really the limit with these performances. His perimeter defensive footwork is better this year but this was definitely a game where you could see he was being dragged middle and giving up some threes. That's gonna be a fair trade most nights because of his rim protection but the D'antoni type teams (two of which are the top dogs in the West and league imo) can eat if they get the type of spacing Indy got.

- Frank really sets a tone for the defense which is mindblowing coming from a rookie. He's the first reliable defensive PG that I can see us trotting out for 30 mpg long term. As much as his game standsout and physical attributes are mind blowing, it's always going to be his IQ and awareness that defines him. It adds dimensions to his game. He also had another nice drive this time around and his the paint off the dribble two or three times, the comfort is coming along. The jumper is looking more comfortable and dude is completely unafraid in big spots with that go ahead three. Just a big performance and I'm sure an eye-opener for a lot of heads.

- This was every example of what Lance is useful for in one game. Defense ignoring him? He gets off an awkward drive and dunk. Need someone to harrass Oladipo, this dude's got the defense of a highschool football defensive back who hits the street court once a month and aggravates the best ball handler. It's susceptible to plenty of moves but it can be suffocating for chunks of time like that fourth.

- Kanter had another second half bounce back. That first half I was getting angry but he did well to come back out there and do more than just rebound after he snapped into gear.

- Doug McDermott deserves a lot of love for just overall doing role player things well.

- The Frank/KP tandem hasn't gotten all that much time out there together which has been a bit annoying. Last night they got extended time and really made the case for more of that. I hope Hornacek's seeing the potential for pairing them more often.

- Free Dotson...no reason for this based on last night, I just want dude to crack the rotation.

Phil was trying to trade KP. Let's not forget that.

He wasn't though. He has own way of getting in players heads. The really great ones use it as motivation and take their games to new levels, Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, and now seemingly KP....the ones not cut out for greatness can't hack it and get flustered....ie; Melo...who got ejected before OKC came back from a 17 point deficit after he left the game. Sound familiar?

KP was letting Melo's diva act influence him....Phil had to test his mettle real quick. You think you great enough to skip exit meetings? you not there yet, matta-fact lemme put you on the block real quick :mjpls:

Now KP come back looking like he ready to take over the damn league.

You dudes need to dig deeper.

Why you think Phil got fired breh? Serious question

Cause he was actively trying to buy Melo out. From a business standpoint I agree, you gotta fire him for that. But just on some basketball shyt I gotta respect what he was trying to do.

With all due respect,

Unless you know something we don't know, you're literally making some very liberal assumptions.

You're talking in a way that would suggest you've literally b talked to Phil himself.

You're perspective is just hard to believe, Breh.
