RIP to that couple. shyt, my black ass was just down there last week. Flew into Santiago, and stayed in Puerto Plato and Sosua for a week. Homie and I plugged in with one of the locals, tho. Had a great ass time, but I know the fact that me being American with a little cash carried me a long ways. I also made sure not to step outta bounds.

The water and food ended up taking me out, tho. Came back to the states with my stomach hurting like a fool

I went to the DR about 7 years ago and my stomach was fukked up for at least two weeks after I got back.

Yeah because Japan and Singapore has developed an advanced economy and hasn't dedicated itself to depending on tourists.

If a country lacks natural resources to trade, it has to develop a highly sophisticated and advanced labour force.

Maybe they do maybe they don't. As a country with 60 percent of their GDP in tourism, it shows no signs of doing so.

I am sure the Bahamas got more to offer the world than be a vacation spot.

Vacationers get more from the Bahamas, than they the Bahamas get from them.

And I ain't shytting on anybody from going because i's no really he fault of some tourist that some of these national and city governments around the world decided to be adult Disneyland for people that come from advanced economies instead of making one.

i agree with you but for the record japan and singapore have very little (natural) resources, their main resource is a highly educated population and they do offer a blueprint for caribbean nations to follow

but overall caribbean countries are doing ok with tourism, they just need to expand from that base
