I was down in Punta Cana with the wiz a couple years ago and they had these weird security type (I assumed ) dudes that would stand outside the buildings on the lawn all throughout the night, they didnt move at all either/stayed in position

Breh, I can’t even remember when I got some, but it had to have been when I went out to the waterfalls or out to the countryside and had some Dominican coffee. I just know I came back to the states and had diarrhea and abdominal pains like a mafucca. Went to my doctor, and she “you drank the water, didn’t you?” She gave me a shot in my ass, and some antibiotics, and I was good to go.

Otherwise, it was a great trip.

I was talking to a white dude at work who said he went on a cave tour in Mexico. He said it was lunch time and he wasn't paying attention and was drinking regular water. I asked, well what happened? He was like I had the shyts for two weeks.

I went to the D.R last year. It was one of the best times of my life. The people on the Resort were cool as fukk. Most of them were hustlers, but im from Oakland, i could respect the hustlers. It's only scammers i dont fukk with.

Chopped it up with the bartender at my resort, gave him tips, and he basically gave me the rundown on everything. They're just like everyone else, just trying to feed their family's.

My bro was just down there, said he went to airport at night with him and his bro they had a rental..said the locals set boobie traps along the way like cinder blocks in the road and dogs on fire in the road so you will stop and they will rob you...only reason he caught on quick is cause he was in army and those was same traps insurgents set up and he recognized the scene right away..the average couple might not be hip and will stop

nikkas in the Caribbean ain't really paying attention to foreigners like that. It's everyday shyt.You got stick up kids, but murder? Meh, that's more likely to happen to someone with history there i.e. drug mule, or returning family member being setup. Otherwise you just got your everyday nut job every now and then and that can happen anywhere. Killing a tourist brings drama you don't want as your run of the mill criminal.

Beyond that take your precautions as you would anywhere else. I've drove past tourists walking in some areas like . If you're in the city and reach a point where there is NO shopping around apart from a rum shop and a lady with a tray selling sweets...you may have gone too far.

i wouldnt say its dangerous if you stay in the tourist areas. But the thing about DR to me is that like punta cana there isnt really anything to do if you leave the resort and you always feel you have to watch over your shoulder. In Jamaica resort areas there are cops everywhere, cuba might be the safest ish ever id walk from downtown varadero to my hotel at like 2am in the night
