A bank accidentally put $120,000 in a couple’s account. Then the pair spent most of it, police say.

I would have withdrew the money and then called the bank and said :jbhmm:my card was stolen and I don't know who is using it or my account right now.
The bank and police will watch you like a hawk but as long as you don't get flashy with the money and keep it out of any account you are going to be good for awhile

The couple were stupid don't look off a blessing and go crazy because the bank will come back quick about the error

Withdraw $120k out of the ATM?

Exactly what these two people did. Took money that didn't belong to them.
They took money that appeared in their account:russ:

That's stealing?

If you leave your wallet on the bus and get off...no body stole it you just lost it and forfeited the money

Now ive lost my money and people have given it back..to which I'm thankful

But if they didnt...did they steal it?

Or is that my fault?

I would have spent that shyt too. Some of y’all never jumped off the porch I see.

At least they helped out their friends and got some quick thrills out of it.

I would have bought a kilo and an old school car like a corvette and got the fukk outta town, I would have been in Atlanta selling them things for the low

Reading your post, I imagined you looked like Eightball & MJG in the early 90's with a Jheri curl, acid washed jean jacket and a big ass t shirt tucked into some high waisted 501's. :hhh: This ain't 1992 anymore. Have you spent the last 25 years locked up? You can't get away with shyt like that these days. So, what? Is your bank account somehow not in your government name? Not everyone wants to drop everything and become a fugitive from the law. I'm :flabbynsick: as well at 36 and I was doing some wild shyt at 18 running from helicopters and shyt and actually got away too, but that was back in 2001. In 2020, they lowkey probably have butthair recognition and can zoom in on your asshairs to catch your slow country fried ass and take you to lock up in Angola. :ooh:

$100,000 invested in the stock market for 30 years with a 7% annual return while adding $250 a month ($3000 a year) to it for that 30 years would make you a millionaire.

If you invested that in a portfolio that earned you 4% return through dividends that's $40,000 before taxes it would earn you just in dividends.

But if you steal $100,000 from the bank off a mistake you can't really invest the money in the markets at least.

My nikka..............

How you gonna do that with a daily withdraw limit? How many damn atms would you have to visit if even if they didn't have a limit?

Now that does lead a great idea.... Transfer the money to a different account, over seas preferably.... then go pick it up... When the bank comes for the money......... SAY YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT... and pretend that shyt must have been stolen out your account. Hide those travel tracks extremely well.. In fact, have someone you trust go get it and make sure you use another computer and stay in public places taking pics until they call you

Reading this thread tho...... I'd definitely take this shyt to trial..

You'd be hard pressed, in these economic times, to find 12 people to sentence you to jail. Have my lawyers up there talking about the big bad banks and how they screw over the common man, like hitler was talking about them jews...

People really in here talking about going on the run, for 100k :mjlol: Talking about flipping money. Talking about emptying 120k thru the damn ATM that has a limit of 500 a day. Even transfers have a limit. By the time you transfer the third thousand dollars you’d be caught already :mjlol:Y’all really think y’all living in an El Chapo movie.

You really sound dumb. Yes, you're supposed to turn in the wallet, especially is it has the identity of the owner in it.

As for the actual topic, yes, it's stealing. This is common sense.

This ain't the 1st time we heard of this happening:mjlol:

Hope they get 2 years in jail.....use Google next time to find out what's gonna happen to your ass :hubie:
They should know the law
Not smart to spend it all
If it were me I would've flipped that shyt by investing it and probably made at least $2k off that

.. I think the law should be changed
If it is a bank error then the bank should pay
fukk these Banks

Take the 120k to the casino; double up; then give them they money back; now you REALLY got 120k for free.
