I'm Team #keepthemoney but that kind of withdrawal would have to be done in person. Best case scenario you ball out for 24hrs of swiping and report it stolen.I would have withdrew the money and then called the bank and said my card was stolen and I don't know who is using it or my account right now.
The bank and police will watch you like a hawk but as long as you don't get flashy with the money and keep it out of any account you are going to be good for awhile
The couple were stupid don't look off a blessing and go crazy because the bank will come back quick about the error
Ya'll cant be serious. You have to be extra dumbass to spend money thats not yours
What else do you call using 100k in money that isn’t yours? Of course it’s a felony theft charge
You definitely r/WSBI would've yolo'd it all on dumb option trades during earnings season.
Only the banks are allowed to spend other people's money
Y’all live in Lala land on here.
How you going to negotiate terms with something you STOLE from somebody?
The money was in there account...... If I lost a grand in cash, and you found it and spent it, it would not be considered a felony.... why is this scenario different...?
You are suppose to turn the money into the police station and wait for a set number of days before reclaiming it.
Hustling backwards. When shyt like that happens with that much money you know the Bank's gonna find out. What you do is report it and they'll give you a big ass credit anyway for being upfront.
Because it wasn’t their money to spend. It’s really simple. Why are y’all thinking so hard? How did they “steal” it when the bank put it in their account, albeit accidentally, but still.... If I give you too much change from a cash transaction, is that stealing as well?
