A bank accidentally put $120,000 in a couple’s account. Then the pair spent most of it, police say.

Because it wasn’t their money to spend. It’s really simple. Why are y’all thinking so hard?:gucci:

That ain’t what I asked.... but I see how y’all being dense for the sake of being dense... no one is saying they should’ve spent the money, but they did not “steal” the money and nor should they be charged with felonies.... only major corporations can get away with bullshyt like this....

Exactly. If the bank somehow took money out of their account, we all know they would have been on the phone within five minutes trying to get their cash back.

Not really the same thing. The same thing would be if I wrote the bank a check in error and wanted the money back... Do you think the bank would give it to me?

They absolutely did steal it. There is no debate that they didn't.

I don't live in the US but when I did $1000 wasn't the average. I just looked it up and that's minimum wage. I once worked at a place where I earned $6 an hour and had way more than $1000 in savings, by myself. We are talking about two people. The article made no mentions of kids. Bruh if you have a job and don't have more than $1000 in savings you're hustling backwards.

You don’t live in the US so you’re not qualified to speak on what’s really going on

Of course this is debatable

Did they take the bank’s money, or did the bank put the money in their account? :sas1:

They did steal it. Yea the bank accidentally put it there, but instead of calling the bank or leaving it alone, they went on a shopping spree with money that isn’t theres. Now they’re 100k in debt for what? Stupidity.

They really spent a random six figures like shyt was sweet:dahell:
I mean, if youre gonna dip into the funds, the smart thing to do is at least try to flip some of that shyt into some more money. Pay the bank back and come up.

For me its just an unauthorized overdraft, which is a service that banks offer.
Not stealing
