These nikkas spend overtime juelzing new arguments for Netflix's downfall. If we're talking original movies, Netflix is basically tied with Amazon, at the top, when it comes to awards show accolades. Hulu is right behind the two of them. If it's just overall selection of movies, HBOMax has the clear lead. Besides Disney+, the rest of the streamers all basically have the same shyt when it comes to films in the range of cult classic to blockbuster. Amazon might have more indies, while Netflix has more foreign stuff. But, this is a random example, Layer Cake is on Netflix and Prime right now. The first of the month, Netflix, Prime, and Hulu are all adding a lot of the same stuff. You'll get big name exclusives, like Hulu getting Parasite first, but it's all pretty much the same.
They hate on it, yet be in the stickied threads. :dead:

HBO is dropping nothing but crack.
this where i know yall be slurping HBO name just for the fukk of it. Only movie that was a banger that they've had was messiah. Everything else is decent to trash. I feel like warner bros. knew these movies werent that good and thats why they were so easy to drop em on there.

That's why I say Netflix better start releasing some of these episodes like once a week like HBOMax and Disney+ is doing. They're milking/stretching everything out for months while niccas devour a Netflix show in one sitting then cry that they don't have anything immediately after. I've really only liked Judas and a little bit of Snyder Cut out of all these theater/home releases they've pumped up. They're eating off their stellar catalog, DC, and the Warner Bros vault. Outside of Cruella, Disney doesn't gamble or take risks with anything. They spam Marvel and Star Wars shyt to death. I agree Netflix needs to tighten up on the movies they release or greenlight but most movies suck in general no matter the studio or network.

That's interesting they have had shows that become part of the pop culture Zeitgeist. But I agree, I think they could have more if they released more stuff on a weekly format like other streamers. Shows with any element of mystery/intrigue they should go that route.

The only thing that needs to be said. While I think Warner Bros. drops the most quality films, they drop mostly duds like every studio. A24 might actually be the best when it comes to quality vs. quantity.

Right.. When the next Ozark drops that will be devoured within a week by everyone and then the complaining will start up again. If HBO or Disney had Ozark that shyt would stretch out for three months, will be at the top/front page of their home screen, be praised for months, and their older foundational classics will be promoted right underneath their "hot show"(Sopranos, GOT,) Netflix has to stop letting their sh*t die off and fall to the bottom of the heap so fast. A lot of their programming cannibalizes itself as they're releasing sh*t too fast and too often.

But in this new era of binge watching, there’s a need to keep up with fleeting interest, and HBO has released a lot of trash/mid original content since launching Max, so I little faith that they’ll be any better than Netflix in this volume market.

Mare of East Town just dropped and was way better than anything Netflix has had since Mindhunter. you buggin..

No different then any other movie studio. Studios put out duds all the time. Difference is a studio and die from putting out a dud. Netflix just chalks it up and moves on.

dudes talkin streaming subs in here like they work for Netflix or got stock. Of course Netflix is far and away #1 they been out for over ten years. Don't mean the movies are good..

They should have NEVER canceled Mindhunter.. still pissed about that :birdman:
The thread title put the topic in a business not consumer angle. No, no one @ Netflix needs to be fired based on their current market share in streaming. If you don't like their content say that but it's dumb to say people need to be fired when everyone knows their business position.

Netflix has been, from day one of making content, about the TV shows and they have killed it in that area.
this. they gave us sweet tooth last week and 2 more shows i'm watching this week.

no other service top original shows can compete with Netflix best shows. nor their best original movies. Even HBOMax temporary 2021 movies have all been dudes minus Judas and In the heights

They still shyt all over Netflix movies and it's not close. :mjlol:
No

HBO movies are not some amazing shyt. Idk where y’all getting this from. Their docs & original shows are great just like Netflix. Tbh idgaf about older tv/movie shows. To me I like more Netflix movies than I did those HBO straight to home movies
