this.

and their international presence shyts on their competition here in the states. Netflix owning the distribution rights to movies made in the states shown in other countries on Netflix is dope.

HBO Max is the king though esp considering quality.

HBO max got the GOAT library of original programming as well.

Every month with the usual suspects.

Netflix ain't going nowhere :umad:
These nikkas spend overtime juelzing new arguments for Netflix's downfall. If we're talking original movies, Netflix is basically tied with Amazon, at the top, when it comes to awards show accolades. Hulu is right behind the two of them. If it's just overall selection of movies, HBOMax has the clear lead. Besides Disney+, the rest of the streamers all basically have the same shyt when it comes to films in the range of cult classic to blockbuster. Amazon might have more indies, while Netflix has more foreign stuff. But, this is a random example, Layer Cake is on Netflix and Prime right now. The first of the month, Netflix, Prime, and Hulu are all adding a lot of the same stuff. You'll get big name exclusives, like Hulu getting Parasite first, but it's all pretty much the same.

ever since i started making money, i could care less about vicarious entertainment....what really killed it was the kodi app...where u could stream every new show, sports event & live local news in other cities....after an hour of using it, i got rid of it...its too much.....i can't tell u the last time i watched an entire episode of something or finished a movie.....i got into the a&e wrestling documentaries but as soon Ron Funches & Peter Rosenberg started babbling i shut it off......

there's about a dozen cliques in hollywood that produce everything & the people in charge are the most boring, uncreative fagguts (seth rogen, lena dunham, parks & rec crew, etc).....shouts to Dennis O'leary, the ceo....we make crazy cash....and why be a couch potato when u can buy motorcycles, cars, guns, etc & enjoy life........

we're consumers, no one here cares about netflix's subs, our complaint is about content. there's a lot of resting on their first mover advantage and brand recognition laurels vs quality of output. this may become the narrative for them moving forward Yahoo is now a part of Verizon Media
I'm supposed to care about critical acclaim, awards, or subscription counts when everytime I try to give one of these originals a shot, it's fukking trash. Mid at absolute best. :unimpressed:

But I guess you gotta cling onto something right? Maybe if success can be achieved vicariously if we keep bringing stats up :ohhh:

Nah, the shyt is weak. :trash:

You missed the whole point of that post if that’s your first thought.

They do, thanks to their decade plus head start. HBO ushered in the Golden Era of television. Can’t take that away from them.

But in this new era of binge watching, there’s a need to keep up with fleeting interest, and HBO has released a lot of trash/mid original content since launching Max, so I little faith that they’ll be any better than Netflix in this volume market.
