Seriously I can't stand this BS. White Americans who mostly descend from Germans and then Irish and British love discussing and promoting Ancient Greece and Rome, which neither they descend from especially Greece. Heck if we want to go further they love promoting the Vikings, yet White Americans as a whole hardly have any Scandinavian ancestry. Yet you hardly see White Americans promoting their ancient Germanic history or the history of the early Britons. If anything they deminize their ancestors with games such as Ryse Son of Rome and movies like Centurion.

But the reason White Americans study/learn about the Greeks/Romans is because the two were the most influential on not only Europe, but the world. So its no surprise that White Americans obsesses over them.

Like I said Ancient Egypt or Nile Valley civilizations in general are the greatest civilization that ever lived, especially in antiquity. This is not an opinion this is a fact. I can't even get into the long lines of how Nile Valley civilizations influenced the world; from religion, written language, inventions, philosophy, government, etc, etc. Its too long. This is why everyone from blacks, whites, your Eurocentric racist, hotep nikkas, pseudo-Afrocentrics, Arabs, Jewish run Hollywood, religious people, etc all obsess.

The thing that separates the Nile Valley civilizations apart from other ancient civilizations like Rome is that the Nile Valley civilizations have a huge mystic, lore and almost inhuman theme it it. So much that people actually think extraterrestrial beings created the pyramids! Can't say the same for other civilizations. Seriously what other Ancient Civilizations come close to Kemet/Nubia???

Mesopotamia/Sumer? Besides giving us the wheel an falsely being considered the first civilization, that's it. And there are holes in Mesopotamia being the first civilization and the Egyptian stript is actually older than the Sumerian one.

Ancient Greece? Besides their democracy and philosophies, nothing comparable to the Nile Valley. The Greeks admired the Egyptians and Ethiopians(Nubians). But they were influenced by many, including the Egyptians in their architecture and even Gods such as ISIS and Memnon.

Ancient Rome? Besides having great military history and biggest empire in the known world, they were a copy & paste of Ancient Greece. The Romans were hardly innovators. The Roman state mostly cared for making money and war. Nothing impressive compared to the Nile Valley.

Phoenicians/Carthage? Copy & paste of Nile Valley civilizations.

Mayans? Nile Valley civilizations are older and they had a much more impact on the world than the Ancient Mayans.

Ancient Axum? We hardly know anything about this civilization.

Indus Valley Civilization? We hardly know anything.

Ancient China? IMO the only one that comes close... Due to being the oldest continuing civilization.

Seriously is there a reason to even argue why NVC get so much attention from not just blacks but medias like Hollywood???? Fact is people study and have an interest in whatever topic interest them. And NVC are the most interesting topic.

We got Egypt and... Mali, Songhay, Benin, Kongo, Kanem, Bornu, Tichit-Walata, Ghana, lemme stop there. Care to name your great world renowned super powers?

To be honest this only touches base on the 18th dynasty. IIRC different dynasties have different origins. Tut's dynasty seems to be mostly from the ancestors of Southern Bantu Africans. I wouldn't say "West Africans", but they would share strong affinities with West Africans.

And the Ancient Egyptians would mostly be similar to Nilo-Saharans speakers to day, since they are the oldest people on the Nile Valley. They would even sound like Nilo-Saharans. Afro-Asiatics would come in second and then the ancestors of Niger-Congo speakers.

The Romans themselves wanted to claim legacy from Egypt, which is why they invaded Egypt and that is why Cleopatra was important to them. It all comes back to Egypt, which is why White people are always trying to find a connection to that Empire. It bugs Northern Europeans to no end what they have learned about Egypt and how Black people are the descendants of the Egyptians. Mediterranean people knew it for centuries; but they just accepted it and moved on. It is the White supremacy views of Northern Europeans that prevents them from acceptance and moving on. However the more the Northern Europeans dig in Egypt and the Sudan; the more discouraged and heart broken have become.

Interesting. I never knew the Romans actually wanted to claim the Ancient Egyptian legacy. I always saw that they were obsessed with the Greeks.

Indeed. Not only that, but they NOW have to claim Ancient "Nubia" which they regarded as the inferior black copy & paste of Egypt. This is mainly due to finding out that Kemet is all, but just an cultural transplant of "Nubia". Do you know the Kemetians welcomed, "Nubians" such as the Kushyte due to them bringing the Kemetians into a Renaissance?

I understand that I'm just trying to piss off this clown since he stays in African/Black centered threads like a stalking creep. Meanwhile no one care for his opinions and he doesn't bring anything to the convos.

To say Ancient Egypt was the greatest civilization in a general sense is definitely an opinion, not a fact. It is a fact however that they were the greatest architects the ancient world has ever seen and probably the most expressive spiritualists in the artistic sense, and lets face it, everybody loves shiny things. "Lore" wise I'd say they are on par with Asia as a whole.

I know we all love to hate on Greece, but you can't just handwave their contributions to philosophy, modern government, literature, and the sciences overall away and gloss over their significance. When it comes to things like that AE doesn't come close to having anybody beat, tbh.

And I think you're laying it on a little thick, where are all these white people that dikkride Greece like that? I don't really see them. The average American doesn't think beyond 1776 and European whites rep their countries as hard as anybody else. You saying that because we study them in school? I don't think the average white person really cares about ancient Greece.

I seem to recall one of the Greeks that traveled in Egypt; writing that he had been advised that Egypt was actually a colony of Nubia. I believe that the Greek was Herodutus. I can look it up when I get home, but I had always wondered about Upper and Lower Egypt and the importance of Memphis which was further south in Egypt.
