It's not an aura. It's skill. People act like canelo is some plodding one dimensional guy. His skill level is elite. Great defense. Great timing. Greats feints. And a really good jab when he gets it going. He was Poppin charlo's head all night with the jab.

Like canelo said. His style looks easy watching on TV. But when these guys get in the ring they realize how skilled he is. A great defensive fighter with knockout power is hard to beat. Outside of bivol he's literally made every single opponent gunshy.

It has alot to do with Aura.....the "Nelo, Nelo, Nelo" chants, the entire world watching, the lights beaming, sold out crowd.....Canelo does have skill but he is a lesser version of himself right now then he used to be. You could tell Charlo was nervous before the bell even rang......he ain't want to be knocked out....thats why he damn near ain't throw no punches in the first 3 rounds. :mjlol:

i do think Canelo would have beat Charlo regardless.....but Charlo was just on some "let me make sure i don't get knocked out" no confidence in himself.

Canelo beat the shyt out of Mell.... But his stamina is so bad for such a great fighter. How he tire out like he did late in a fight he dominated? Mell aint even hit him to body that much.

Canelo would never fight Bivol again. It goes worse for him in a rematch. He should cap out at 168. We need Benavidez fight 2024.
he loads up on almost every punch. that is very tiring.

Ah ok

So we're gonna sit here and pretend the only way to beat Canelo is to KO him.

We're gonna pretend that Canelo has never been pieced the fxck up, out boxed , and handed Ls from weaker fighters than him.

Who are the weaker fighters? because Canelo only took 2 L's and it was to a light heavyweight and one of the greatest of all time.

The thing is. Even those punches are hard to read. And they almost help canelo in a way. Because opponents get a false sense that canelo is wild and they can time him. But then the next punch he throws will be sharp and right down the middle. That's how he got that knockdown. Charlo was expecting something wide and canelo came straight through his guard.

Jermell had absolutely no idea what canelo was going to throw here. You can tell by his body language. Dude didn't know what hit him.

What you wrote is literally Bud in a nutshell, and he does it better than Canelo in that aspect. Crawford is a Top 5 counter puncher of all time IMO. Alot, and I mean alot of his KOs come from getting right inside the pocket aka the danger zone of an opponent and hitting precise counters. On top of using a punch that he never threw in the fight that takes opponents by surprise

2:00

Look at this when he KOed Benevidez. He went right in the pocket with ultimate precision, with barely any opening. Canelo's wide punches when his feet are planted are a larger opening than what Bud is used to, which is a benefit to him
