Just finished watching. I was really shocked how confused Joshua was in there. He did not know what to do with that southpaw style at all. I gave him 3 rounds only. He will get beat in an immediate rematch, he needs to get someone who will teach him how to bully a southpaw who fights in angles. His current trainer obviously wont be able to.

That Sunday morning fight re-watch :wow:

Final conclusion: anyone who thinks AJ wins a rematch is in fantasy land.

1) Usyk has the better feet by miles. He didn't run for a second last night. He stood in the middle of the ring and spun AJ like they were on American Bandstand. AJ didn't cut off the ring on him a SINGLE time.

You don't go from not being able to cut off a guy for a second to being able to walk him down and lock him up. That right there is reason enough AJ has long odds in a rematch. This fight will always be where Usky wants it. Middle of the ocean, deep water.

2. Usyk's movement is the obvious issue. This is a guy who doesn't get hit by natural LHW's and Cruisers. Him saying "it was easier than I thought" isn't cap. He looked like he saw AJ in bullet time for 12 rounds tonight. The levels he gave AJ last night were unbelievable as well. He threw body punches and head shots from the same spot, or sometimes he wouldn't punch at all but make AJ move. He waged total warfare in there. Physically and phycologically dominant. AJ doesn't have a single thing he can hang his hat on.

3. Power. It's what we really talked about. Usyk took the two years and transitioned to HW properly. The "AJ needs to impose himself" rhetoric is based entirely on the idea he can walk through Usyk. He cannot. He just cannot. First 20 seconds of the fight Usyk cracks him with a lightning rod left hand and AJ minds his manners for the rest of the night. Same thing Floyd did with Manny. People kept on wondering when Manny was gonna rush in but Floyd cracked him early and he knew better.

Usyk gonna be here for a while. Fury is a 50/50 fight. Anyone else is a wash.
Joshua isn't stupid, will make adjustments and fight completely different in rematch.
Could potentially win by ko.
Not saying he will, but it's definitely possible.

Also, ortiz could get with usyk. But I don't he'd fight him

That's all well and good but it seems AJ is not interested in changing camps and who's to say AJ will even be able to incorporate new teachings

Watching the fight now. AJ needs to drop that cac trainer. Mofo kept yelling "brilliant, AJ" when he wasnt doing shyt.:hhh:

Defo needs to drop McCracken. I get AJ wanting to be loyal but he's clearly not teaching him anything new - loyalty gets you nowhere in boxing.

He hasn't but Uysk hasn't faced anyone who hits like Wilder and he will hit Uysk at some point.
Depends what he hits him with and how. He hits him with a full-blown straight right? Yeah that's a problem for Usyk. He hits him with anything else though is not much. Wilder has the best one-punch KO power with his straight/overhand right but his other punches aren't super hard.

I would never bet against Wilder cause he's shown a penchant for landing that bomb of a right hand in multiple fights where he's getting his ears boxed off.
He's too dangerous for any fight to be a sure thing.
But Usyk is obviously a far superior boxer to Wilder. So he would be favored

Actually, he's shown he's less of a boxer and more of a puncher.

I believe he mentality views himself as a boxer.

In this fight, he was not the “boxer,” and once that was evident, should have tried to make it a fight. It was just awful game plan.
