9/10 Monday Night RAW Thread: Bret Hart Returns to Montreal, CM Punk & Heyman Connect

Crowd was gonna murder Cena until Punk came out dissing the Hitman. You think Cena's "I'm going to talk like I know everything because I'm the face of this business for no explicable reason" promo made the crowd turn?


This was John Cena's best promo, not because of his performance, but because of his words. Guarantee any legend in the business would've crafted that same promo into some legendary shyt. Cena though...*sigh* the only positive thing you could say about it is that "he's speaking truth right now." shyt, I wouldn't be surprised if Punk gave him some of those things to say...we all know John Boy has been completely corny in the promo department since he dropped the rapper gimmick. Now all of a sudden, we're supposed to believe he has the ability to make a crowd love him off one promo? the nikka hasn't been completely loved since PUNK MADE THE CROWD TURN ON HIM. They turned Kurt Angle into a racist and an Anti-American to get Cena cheered in 2005. They used red hot heels like Lita and Edge to get sympathy for him and they STILL cheered for them.....even when Lita cheated him when he almost won those matches and she was more hated than damn near anyone in 2006

It felt like Cena was getting coached during his promos this year because he definitely has never talked like that in his whole fukking run. Ever. He's not that good. He's not that creative. It sounded like CM Punk was speaking in truth. And considering how much they suck each other off in out of ring interviews, I'm not surprised. When it comes to John Cena, nothing is surprising. They used sick children to generate sympathy for him....that's how much of a chump he is and always will be.

Get the fukk out. Cena did get booed to Bolivia during his entrance and part of his promo. Then he turned up the heat on Punk and got the crowd on his side. Punk's paint by the numbers promo had nothing to do with it.

Punk has been cutting the same promo for weeks. Stop acting like he's doing some cutting edge shyt. There's a reason Bret Hart straight ethered him during his first long winded promo. Get to the fukking point. That's one of the reasons Sheamus is floundering; talking too damn much. And he's corny to boot.

CM Punk is a good mic worker who did his time in the Indys. Kind of sloppy at times and relys these days on whiny promos to stay over but he had a good assemblage of matches from 2006-2009 before he turned heel and actually spoke something of worth in the Jeff Hardy feud. The reason why he is so over right now is because the untrained causal fan is just now discovering these intriguing qualities about him and they want to cheer anything that is anti-Cena or against the WWE pandering norm.

When you think about it, everything he's known for is someone else's. Daniel Bryan's Best In The World ways...KENTA's finisher...Macho Man add ons...trying to stand out like Austin with the anti-establishment "pipe bomb" rantings.

punk respects the business . He pays homage to the greats but you criticize him for that cause he not praising Dwayne bro . Why was rock doing the sharpshooter? That's not his move is it ? Cena burying people is overblown. Besides Wade tha Gawd he doesn't HHH his opponents. Plus those obvious statements is not something most people would put together. KENTA isn't a household name, neither was D Bry's indy gimmick, and Macho Man's stuff is minor. So Cena bringing up these things is fair game and really important to the feud unless you're already an insider. Punk's whole game is to call Cena a phony and a fake kiss ass which alot of people on the outside agree with. So it goes both ways with the obvious.
