KKKovalev by wide UD or late stoppage..

Kov is one of the best boxers in the world still to this day. Yea he is a little chinny but he has the reach and boxing ability to overcome that flaw 9/10.

Ole dude never sparred and haven’t gone past 7:francis: shyt could get ugly in the later rounds.

Entertaining fight :wow:

I got my prediction right but Yarde showed surprising toughness. For a guy who was never put in with punchers before he showed a great chin. He doesn't have to hang his head, he lost most rounds but still he put on an effort, kept coming forward, if he gets a little more experience, who knows how he pans out. Shedding some muscles might be advisable to him though, he was tired as shyt from round 9 or so... Kovalev was tired too but for different reasons, age and him being a drunkard.

Canelo actually has a chance to beat Kovalev now... as I feel. He will get tagged less frequently and he will absolutely target the body. Still it's tough to pick due to the size difference.

Rare to see a jab KO :russ: but it was as much because of Yarde being spent as because of Kovalev's power jab.

Can somebody tell me what Canelo would have for Kovalev if the latter beats Yarde convincingly ? I don't see it honestly. Yarde is obviously not on Nelo's level but he's also a good body puncher and has a good sense for countering/timing while being more powerful. Like we know Kovalev is past his prime and got KO/KD several times in his last fights but we saw him box Alvarez easily for 12 rounds so he still got it and I can see him box Nelo for 12 too. If he beats Yarde, what can Canelo bring that would make him a favorite ? Or am I overrating Yarde maybe ?
to answer canelo is levels above yarde but so is kov. Canelo less power but better bodypuncher. Much much better counter punche better punch selection, better accuracy, better defense, may have a better chin and def the faster guy coming up. Also more experience at the, highest level. Though I wouldn't put all the chips on canelo since I have never seen him at this weight and kov is a bloody good boxer (you, can count on one hand how many rounds he lost in his career) but it is interesting. All Imma say is this dude kov may have the best jab in the game and nelo in for a tough night

Speak it become it and delusion it. Let this be a lesson to the prospects and tin can bullies this ain't a game where you can input cheat codes and think you beat man with decades of experience in the Am's and Pro's
Right but he came closer than I thought and showed surprising toughness, had he place his shots just a little better in that 8th and we might talk about something else now
