Yarde nearly had it in the middle rounds but this is what happens when you go for a huge physique, you tire, he was gassed every round after that surge. Also no sparring is ridiculous... hats off for him for nearly turning the fight around, but skills pay the bills - Kov was dominated with the jab the whole fight, and finished with it too!
Very fukking impressive. great comeback..heart...refused to quit.
Spence does his 15 round sessions..that's why he killing guys by the 10th and 11th.And that's why, ladies and gentleman you are suppose to do some sparring. It's not only for timing but also for working on 12 round stamina too

Yarde relies far too much on his athleticism and reflexes, he needs a better coach because he has the tools but that lack of experience showed badly tonight. I really thought he would have closed the show in the 9th but Kov showed him the levels. But imo Bivol and Glovdzick beat this Kova.

Props to Kovalev - great fighter, entertaining fight.
Like what I saw from Yarde too, despite being young with little top level comp. he held for a good while. He and his team def need to reconsider his training for fights like this.
