Let me ask you guys something as a shoot. When Omega went on his injury break he was being presented as the best in the business, correct? So why the fukk is he coming back as a “trios” guy? Why is “the best wrestler in the world” being relegated to some barely made up play titles and not looking to re establish himself as the top guy in the company?

Hasn't had a match in 9 months due to recovering from shoulder surgery, hernia surgery, and knee issues. Not to mention he's been wrestling while dealing with Vertigo for 3 years. Going to have some ring rust so putting him in a tag setting will help him shake some of that off. Plus it's going towards a Cole/Omega program (maybe for Grand Slam or Revolution) that has been building for years.

His hometown is Aaron’s Creek, VA. Pretty sure AEW will never be going there. Closest city that could reasonably host an AEW event would be Durham, NC

It's one thing if it's between PPV's (i.e. title match taking place halfway between All Out & Revolution) but the week before is ridiculous.

I think the whole Omega being rusty thing is a work, the story seems like he'll be working his way back into top form. I disagree with going it that way, but I doubt the shoulder deal and the compression shirt are actually needed. Usually when wrestlers come back from injury they are jacked/cut beyond belief.

It seems like Meltzer has mostly been frozen out by his AEW sources, a lot of his AEW takes these days seem more like educated guesses than when he actually knew everything a few years ago
