I've always liked Colt as a low to midcard type guy. Not really a type of guy you should invest in significant creative plans in by any stretch of the imagination. But also not a guy that should be relegated to jobber and dark match status.

But if he is going to be the root of all this fuss (through no fault of his own, I should add), put him on TV. Get Hangman away from Dark Order, make Colt Cabana the leader, and let Dark Order be some comedy stable. If they are going to keep Dark Order around, at least do something mildly interesting with it.

If AEW had a more appropriate sized roster for the amount of TV time they have, I would say put one of the two secondary solo titles on him, but that roster has so much talent there is really no legitimate way to justify it.

If he's that well liked and respected, got to do right by him. Sometimes what's best for business is elevating people above where they should be based on their skills.

Colt Cabana gave this generation of wrestlers the blueprint on how to make big money off merch etc, his podcast back in the day gave tons of Indy guys their shine.

Colt's a glue guy who's also a coach for AEW and probably could be a major part of the relaunch of ROH whenever that happens (which would keep him away from Punk).
