A few of us agree though . The promotion just doesn't seem as big or as good as, say, Mayweather vs Alvarez.

A few of you are also clueless, of course the promotion for this not gonna feel as big as a Mayweather fight during the peak of his popularity because neither one of these nikkas have done Mayweather PPVs and gates before. Are you aware of how many PPV events and buys Mayweather had done before the Canelo fight and the work he put into himself to make himself that ppv star?

We still in here talking about resumes like the whole PBC didn't blatantly duck bud for years ....Spence said himself he was gonna take the easy road instead of facing him ....PBC froze bud out. They refused to even acknowledge his existence on their telecasts until they started getting backlash on social media.

Funny how Spence stans always wanna ignore these facts when it comes to resumes. No question Spence has a better resume. But he also had access to a better crop of fighters. It's not buds fault them PBC dudes were tucking their tails between their legs

Nothing about Spence's route was easy he has 3 out of the 4 belts. If anything Crawford took the easy route

Plus to add in it's much harder to promote now days. There aren't as many monster TV shows you can throw commercials on since so many people stream. ESPN ain't even doing numbers like they used to so just putting fighters on there won't be as effective. This is where having that BLK Prime fight hurts too cause if it was a regular network they could've at least hyped it as a tuneup for the Spence fight and drummed up some publicity that way.

do you feel as if the Spence vs Crawford promo is running on par, worse, or bigger than Tank vs Garcia? outside of jumping on Twitch streams(Spence/Bud have appeared on other platforms that Tank/Ryan didn't), this promo isn't much different and that PPV did over 1M buys, I'd be shocked if Bud/Spence don't do around the same or around 900K.

nikka took so long to finally make the fight, that the date wasn't even far enough out to really go in on some 3/4 month promotional run.

That's what the new era gets wrong. Fights are negotiated far too long in the public, that when the fight does eventually get made it feels stale because the focus has been on actually making it. So then the promotion dies a bit and then picks back up 2 weeks out before the fight.

It's been happening like that for a minute if you been paying attention.

With that said, I feel like the promotion to this event has been solid and on par with Tank/Garcia. Tank and Garcia are just more popular with casuals so it feels like they got more promo.

Bud even brought it up a few weeks ago on First Take and spence had no rebuttal. He sat there in silence because he knows it's 100% facts. Bud challenged spence 4 years ago and Spence said nope. I'm taking the easy route. It is what it is.
