I don’t think he can catch him flush with his best punch if Bud’s defense is on point like against Spence and he can take his regular shots

just like his reaction to Gamboa, he will instantly make and adjustment and commence to getting in his ass. what people fail to realize is...when guys move up in weight carefully, the shots dont hurt them as much as when they are at lower weights. listen, the reason why the guy is so good is because he can do EVERYTHING. I could see him going straight defense in the early rounds not letting Mell touch him and frustrating him, then later start sitting down on his punches. Bud can really be untouchable like Floyd but he chose to change his style and sit down because he knew that would make him marketable. Floyd used his persona to make himself marketable while NOT sitting down on his punches and being un-findable. I said this many times...if Floyd committed to sitting down on his punches he would have knocked out a lot more guys. WHen Floyd throws his feet are already set to get out of the way of any return fire. Bud takes more risks.....he fights an exciting yet more dangerous style.
Part of me didnt see the tremendous hype in Lubin but part of me thought Mell was really being slept on. Boots I can see, but he still aint ready yet. Not even sure if he ready for Thurman or Garcia. in his fight before last he wasnt patient and was just gunning for the KO. in his last fight he was a lot more patient and when Villa knew there was no chance to win he tried to knock boots out and thats what opened himself up to be KOed.
Spence was slow as shyt Sat so I wouldn't use that as Bud not being able to be hit. Bud has been hit before and Mell is much more explosive than Spence imo. IMO Mell is a better athlete than Spence but Spence is more 'refined' (hence the Duncan comparison).
Gamboa isn't/wasnt a KO artist to me knowledge so I don't think thats a good comparison.
Boots vs Thurman imo is a good fight to make now

Bud does have that experience with Mean Machine who IMO is just as big a puncher if not more powerful than Charlo. Bud took alot of his big shots. Obviously it's not advised, but Bud can eat shots or roll with punches to get in position to Counter his opponent. Mean Machine is the best comparison to Charlo IMO in how this fight can go

he needs to be stripped and since WBC says they have his support make him Champ in Recess so if he comes back 10 yrs later ok he gets his title shot lol
