Yeah but if there are bigger fights and Bud beats Mell, nobody gaf about that belt. The belts are all political. I remember when the IBF first was created. Donald Curry was the first undisputed champ in the 3 belt era. The WBO came to prominence to make European fighters seem legitimate.

It’s cool to have but people won’t care about it much because Tszyu ain’t take it from Mell. Floyd always said he didn’t fight for belts. He was happy with and loyal to the WBC.

Personally I think the fight with Lubin was too early in his career and he wasn't ready yet. Lubin would have a way better shot at Charlo now

You don’t remember when everyone was just waiting for Lubin to take Mell title? Twins underrated and they are more dangerous when motivated.

Bud will have a tougher time with Mell than Spence because of the style. I don’t know if he stops him but he will win by catching Mell with some crisp shots especially in the later rounds. It’s a matter of one boxer going against a better boxer.

I don’t think so. Bud gonna win anyway. Charlo not that old so he can handle the weight movement. I think he coming in around 164 for Canelo if he smart. Idk what his walkaround is tho

undisputed is purely resume builder thats why most people with sense vacate everything after getting it lol.

That said for "Marketing" Undisputed vs Undisputed again + the Bad Blood would maximize the storyline of Bud vs Charlo

yeah Charlo is waaaaaaay more discipline than Spence [was], he tends to be in shape year round (which means within 10-12 lbs of fight weight).

I see his canelo camp being that he is cutting less prob try to gain 1-2lbs muscle (they have known about this fight for a min lol). Mell has a good gas tank so I think the aim is to use his athleticism + hoping his power holds.

Yup I 100% agree. Charlo is actually a decent counter puncher and has power in his shots
If Charlo is smart he would fight Bud like Mean Machine did. Be patient and counter the counter puncher. That was a good strategy to give Bud a really tough fight. I feel that is his best shot. Any other game plan Bud beats him convincingly

I can see Bud trying to pull a Tony Harrison and getting under Charlos skin. Charlo's biggest issue (while also serving as motivation) is he can be a mental midget. He either overthinks and gets in his own way or takes everything personal and takes your head off because of it.

Yupp I agree. Charlo has a tendency to Box like he has a low IQ and can be very reckless. Tony Harrison outboxed him easily for both of their fights, only that Charlo got the knockout

Bud’s more versatile than Charlo, Charlo’s off his game when he faces someone who’s trying to box instead of engaging and Castano gave him that work, even hurt him by pressing too.
Charlo’s power is always dangerous, unlike Spence’s his is a one punch KO power but his defense is worse than Spence’s.

Bud looks the best too when someone tries to press him but he’s a better pure boxer than Mell and he’s one of the most versatile guys now, isn’t thrown off his game by any style.
