Got played by Morey in the Harden trade :yeshrug:

Gave up a Harden (a playmaking scorer) for a player who doesn't want to play basketball and is mentally fragile.

Everything with Ben Simmons always to devolves to "if's", "might's" and "hopes" it's happened when he was at the Sixers and it's already happening here.

If they didn't want to play defense or run a offensive system then the player for Harden had to be a ball handling playmaker who can get you buckets or a scorer.

CRAZY how Philly had no leverage and still didn't have to give up a player like Maxey for Harden.

when that trade went down, I said numerous times that philly fleeced the nets simply because they got the best player in the deal.

with simmons refusing to play, it only ads more insult to injury. that cocksucker is wasting the latter years of KD's prime by acting like a bytch.

What does the Lakers have that the Nets would want for Ben? 37 year old LeBron? Washed Westbrook? Day-to-Davis? I’m good.

shiiitttt, at least :russ: is gonna suit up. and we all know that while he can't shoot (not like ben can either), at least he'll go out trying anyways.

:russ: been getting clowned ALL season, but that dude played like 75 games this year and at least was a professional on the court.

Nets didn’t get played for Harden at all. Having Ben Simmons moving forward is much better than having Heavy Harden on a 5 year Supermax extension.

"Moving forward"?

Breh the trade was made for Harden (to initially bring him in) because the championship window is NOW and the objective is to win a chip NOW.

KD and Kyrie are getting older. There's uncertainty about Kyrie's basketball future with how he is.

If you're going to give up Harden you've got to get a player who can give you immediate returns straight away.

Instead Harden was lost for a hypothetical "what if" player who isn't interested in Basketball, this is when a team is meant to be contending and in a championship window with ageing stars :snoop:

Morey got what he wanted without having to give anything substantial up, Sean Marks gave up a star and got an invisible man in return.

Don't be surprised to see Ben sit out again next year. He has gamed the system to where he can sit out, despite being healthy and still get paid. What incentive is there for him to play or take basketball serious? This is who was lost for Harden? Morey is laughing as he's not their problem anymore and got a damn star in return.

Harden has a player option for next year. No other team besides Philly was going to give up an all-star level or above player for a potential post-season rental. And Morey did give up a lot. He gave up key rotational pieces, picks and an all-star player for a rapidly declining James Harden who is seeking a supermax.

That's not exactly a good thing.

I need Claxton to log at least 35 minutes game 4. fukk Andre Drummond. I want to see lots of p&r action between Brown & Clax. Patty and and Seth need to make shots. Blake Griffin needs minutes. Ben Simmons need to sit his candy colored clothes wearing ass down until training camp in September. KD & Kyrie need to be moving off the ball way more. They need to be on their catch & shoot shyt especially KD in the mid range. I want to see more fast break action. fukk all the half court action trying to set KD up in his spots. They need to be moving a lot more. Nash made no fukking adjustments, besides that weak ass zone defense. This shyt is a joke right now. Lay everything on the line in Game 4 and at least have enough dignity and pride not to get swept in the first round on your home court.

Kyrie, Brown, KD, Blake, Clax? New starting lineup?

To be honest. We've got to put this on KD.

It was his job as the leader to reign in and check Kyrie if needs be along with convincing Harden to fully buy-in for another year.

He failed to do that. There needed to be some sort of sit-down between the three to figure out what was going on and resolve any issues.

Now he lost Harden for Ben “The Invisible Man” Simmons who have never been traded for in the first place.

either nash or simmons will not be on this team next season

They did themselves a disservice by not shutting him down once he had that setback in March. Expecting him to ride in on his white horse down 3-0 on a team he hasn’t even played with was nonsensical. Maybe explore a trade, maybe keep him. But deciding what to do with him is gonna be priority one.

if this bleeds into October then the league will have to get involved
